The worlds largest flower Rafflesia arnoldii has bloomed perfectly in bushland forest, Bengkulu. The position of the flower was hanging above the host stem and also about two meters above the ground. member of Guci Oandang Rare Care Puspa Community, Nopriansyah said on Monday(15/1) in Bengkulu that the position of the blossoming Rafflesia arnoldii  is very unique. The flower habitat has mapped by community members and monitored for protection. Moreover, Rafflesia Arnoldi is mostly located in the rubber garden and coffee that maintain by the people. Nopriyansyah added, that he tries to make the habitat of Rafflesia arnoldii in Kaur, Bengkulu is protected and becomes the conservation area. The community together with local government and Natural Resources Conservation Center (NKSDA) Bengkulu-Lampung already mapped Rafflesia arnoldi habitat in Kaur. The forest area around Penangkulan River has known as habitat of Rafflesia arnoldii and Rafflesia bengkuluensis//   Voi.Tempo

The Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI) has deployed 53 medical personnel to handle the measles epidemic in Asmat District of Papua Province. Head of the TNI Information Center Mayor General M. Sabrar Fadhilah stated in a press release received by Antara News Agency on Monday(15/1) that the personnel deployed under the TNI Task Force for the extraordinary event have departed aboard a Hercules A-1326 helicopter from the Halim Perdanakusuma Airbase to Papua. Fadhilah noted that Indonesian President Joko Widodo had urged TNI Commander Marshall Hadi Tjahjanto to treat people suffering from measles in Asmat District.  The TNI commander has established a health task force to assist the Health Ministry to fight the measles outbreak. The team comprises medical personnel from the TNI and Army health center as well as the Navy and Air Force health service. The task force will strengthen the medical team of the Cendrawasih Regional Military Command centered in Timika City. Several investors from Saudi Arabia have expressed interest to invest in the tourism industry in Jakarta, particularly in Seribu, or the One Thousand Islands District. Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan informed the press about the Saudi investors` interest after attending a conference of Saudi investors in real estate business in Jakarta on Monday (15/1). Investment in property as well as other fields, such as energy, agriculture, infrastructure, and tourism were discussed during the conference. Baswedan stated that he welcomed the meeting and laud that it is held in Jakarta as an entry gate to Indonesia. He also informed them that Jakarta is not only for Indonesia but also for Southeast Asia. Baswedan remarked that Jakarta is ready to serve as an entry point for Saudi Arabia`s investment in Southeast Asia and to provide facilities to Saudi investors. He noted that Jakarta administration will coordinate closely with the Investment Coordinating Board in developing Jakarta as an entry gate for investment in Southeast Asian countries and in providing facilities to potential investors//Antara

Indonesian Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi has offered the development project of Lombok International Airport and Mandalika Tourism Area to 150 investors from Saudi Arabia. After attending the Saudi-Indonesian Property Investor Conference in Jakarta on Monday (15/1) the minister stated that the cooperation between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia has been long established, which is shown by the ever-crowded hajj and umrah pilgrimage flights. This relationship creates good investment climate in Indonesia. The minister added that he had been in talks with the Saudi Arabian ambassador to Indonesia, who has expressed interest in Mandalika`s tourism in Lombok. Minister Sumadi added that the government has developed four tourist destinations as the "New Bali," namely Lake Toba in North Sumatra; Yogyakarta; Lombok in West Nusa Tenggara; and Labuan Bajo in East Nusa Tenggara. Minister Sumadi also said his ministry has a concept for Arab investors in Lombok and Mandalika.
