The Minister of Communication and Information (Menkominfo) Johnny G. Plate stated that there were three digital transformation priority issues that were agreed upon at the G20 Summit. Namely post-Covid-19 connectivity, digital literacy and skills, as well as Data Free Flow with Trust (DFFT) and Cross-Border Data Flow (CBDF).

"Those three are of concern and understanding among the G20 leaders. That the post-covid recovery will be followed up with the development and construction of digital infrastructure more broadly throughout the world," Johnny said at the G20 Bali International Convention Center Media Center, Wednesday (16/ 11/2022).

Johnny conveyed that the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure must be developed extensively. Especially to the frontier, outermost, lagging (3T) regions.

Moreover, Indonesia is an archipelagic country, which is certainly a challenge in itself. "There are still two billion people in the world who do not have internet access, including of course in Indonesia," he said.

The Minister of Communication and Informatics said that the leaders of the G20 member countries also watched this seriously. On the second issue related to digital literacy and digital skills.

"In terms of inclusivism and empowering, wider digital training needs to be carried out around the world, including in Indonesia. And the Indonesian government has started implementing it," he said.

As for CBDF and DFFT, Johnny stated that Indonesia views these issues as having to put them to good use. Especially for economic development and trade.

"On the other hand it is necessary to pay attention to cyber attacks, so that cross border data flows must be handled properly. And must be able to overcome cyber attacks," he said. (RRI)

Indonesia managed to pocket around USD 8 billion (Rp 125 trillion) related to investment commitments from this year's series of G20 Summit events. This was conveyed by the Minister of Investment/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Bahlil Lahadalia.

According to him, this figure is predicted to continue to increase. This is because, said Bahlil, there are still a number of agreements that have not been officially signed to be followed up further.

"However, there are approximately USD 10 billion that have not been signed but an agreement has been reached. And I do not want to announce this USD 10 billion because it has not been signed," Bahlil told reporters, Thursday (17/11/2022).

Bahlil explained that the investment commitments that Indonesia received came from a number of countries. Like South Korea, China to Europe, which so far have focused on investing in Indonesia.

"The details will be later when we sign the HoA (Head of Agreement/preliminary agreement)," he said. Previously, during the series of G20 Summits (Summits) in Bali, bilateral meetings were held with a number of countries.

Bagkan, Bahlil said he could meet with 9-10 investors per day. The G20 event has produced the Bali Leaders Declaration or the Bali Declaration as well as a series of action plans with concrete goals.

There is also the G20 Action for Strong and Inclusive Recovery document which contains a list of projects from various discussions. As well as the negotiations that were carried out during the G20 Indonesian Presidency.

On the other hand, Indonesia's G20 produced some concrete results. Such as the formation of the Pandemic Fund which has raised USD 1.5 billion.

Next is the establishment and operation of a resilient and sustainability trust under the IMF (International Monetary Fund) amounting to USD 81.6 billion. The funds are to help countries facing crises.

Apart from that, there is also an energy transition mechanism. Especially for Indonesia in obtaining a commitment from the just energy transition program with an investment of US$ billion. (RRI)
