President Joko Widodo led the funeral ceremony of the Indonesian First Lady from 2004 to 2014, Hj Kristiana Herrawati Yudhoyono or Ani Yudhoyono, at the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery, Jakarta, Sunday.

At the military ceremony, serving as Commander of Ani Yudhoyono's Funeral Ceremony, was Col Inf Yudha Airlangga, a commander of the Army special command.

While the Ceremony Officer was  Brigadier General Herianto Syahputra.

The ceremony began with a report by the ceremony commander to the ceremony inspector before proceeding with the reading of the late's brief curriculum vitae.

Then the funeral ceremony was led by the ceremonial inspector before the drop of the corpse into the grave. Next is flower sowing event by the family.

After that, the hoarding of the burrow was symbolically by the family representatives followed by the grave officers.

Then laying a wreath by the ceremony inspector and family representatives.

On that occasion, the ceremony inspector and a family representative delivered speeches.

Then the ceremony was continued with a prayer and a final tribute to the deceased spirit led by the ceremony inspector.

The ceremony was closed by submitting a report by the ceremony commander to the ceremony inspector.

The Republic of Indonesia's First Lady of 2004-2014, Hj Kristiani Herrawati or Ani Yudhoyono who is the daughter of Sarwo Edhie Wibowo  (an Indonesian military leader) passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2019 in Singapore.

Ani Yudhoyono has breathed her last breath after battling blood cancer since the last few months.

In addition to the family, present at the funeral were a number of civil and military officials, former state officials and representatives of friendly countries.

A number of figures present included HR Agung Laksono, Haryono Suyono, Budi Waseso, Budi Gunawan, Hasto Kristianto, Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, Pramono Anung, Ganjar Pranowo.

In addition, Ridwan Kamil, Emil Salim, Khofifah Indar Parawansa, Lukman Hakim Saifuddin, General Tito Karnavian, Basuki Hadimujono, Hanif Dhakiri, Budi Karya Sumadi, Hidayat Nurwahid, Moeldoko, HS Dilon, Sinta Nuriyah Wahid, Yenny Wahid, Puan Maharani.

Also present was the third President of the Republic of Indonesia BJ Habibie, the Fifth President of the Republic of Indonesia Megawati Soekarnoputri, the Indonesian Vice President for the 2009-2014 Period Boediono and his wife, one of the Vice Presidents of the Soeharto era, Try Soetrisno.

At the end of the ceremony President Joko Widodo handed over the red and white flag to Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. (ANTARA)

The Indonesian people were shocked by the news of the death of the wife of the 6th Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Christian Herawati bint Sarwo Edhie Wibowo or Ani Yudhoyono, Saturday (01/06/2019) at National University Hospital, Singapore, at 11.50 local time or 10:50 West Indonesia Time .

Indonesian President Joko Widodo on Saturday afternoon at the Bogor Presidential Palace, conveyed his grief for the death of Ani Yudhoyono. In addition, President Joko Widodo who was accompanied by first lady Iriana Joko Widodo and Minister of State Pratikno, also invited the Indonesian people to pray for the deceased Ani Yudhoyono.

“Innalillahi wainna ilaihi rojiun. Allow me on behalf of the government and all the people of Indonesia to express our deepest condolences to their return to the grace of Kristiani Herawati binti Sarwo Edhie Wibowo, Ani Yudhoyono, wife of Indonesia's 6th president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono at the age of 67. I invite all Indonesian people to pray together for the deceased, hopefully, be accepted and given the best place in the sight of Allah SWT, Husnul Khotimah, and the family will get fortitude and patience. Aamiin YRA,” said President Joko Widodo.

Ani Yudhoyono's body on Saturday night was laid at the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore and then taken to Jakarta to be laid in Puri Cikeas Bogor before being buried Sunday afternoon at the Jakarta Kalibata Heroes Cemetery. (VOI / Ndy / AHM)

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is planned to lead the ceremony for the former First Lady Ani Yudhoyono's funeral held at the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery in South Jakarta on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. local time.


"Ani Yudhoyono's funeral ceremony will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. President Joko Widodo is planned to be the ceremonial inspector," Chief Communication Officer of the Yudhoyono Institute, Ni Luh Putu Caosa Indryani, said in Jakarta on Sunday.

On Sunday morning at 08:00 a.m., the body of Indonesia's First Lady from 2004-2014, Kristiani Herrawati, or Ani Yudhoyono, is laid to rest in the Cikeas Hall, Bogor, West Java, to provide an opportunity for the people who would pay their final respects to the first lady.


Then at 12:00 p.m., the funeral procession will be continued with Dzuhur prayer and a congregation prayer for the late first lady at Cikeas.


At 13:30 p.m, the funeral ceremony of Ani Yudhoyono's body at the Cikeas Hall will be proceeded to the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery in South Jakarta.


Previously, the body of Ani Yudhoyono had arrived at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport Jakarta, Saturday, 22.00 p.m. local time. The body was flown by a military heavy transport plane, VIP L-100-30 Hercules A-1314.


A number of ministers, leaders of Democratic Party, politicians and families welcomed the body of Indonesia's First Lady from 2004-2014 Kristiani Herrawati.


Kristiani Herawati, a daughter of Sarwo Edhie Wibowo, or Ani Yudhoyono died in Singapore on Saturday at 11.50 local time.


Ani Yudhoyono suffered from blood cancer and was being treated at the National University Hospital, Singapore, since February this year. (ANTARA)

The Singapore Foreign Ministry expressed its condolences over the passing of former First Lady of the Republic of Indonesia Ani Yudhoyono.


The wife of the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono passed away at National University Hospital, Singapore, on Saturday at 11.50 local time after struggling to fight blood cancer in the past four months.


"The Singapore Government extends its deepest condolences to Bapak Yudhoyono and family, and to the people of Indonesia, in this time of mourning," Singapore Foreign Ministry wrote on its press statement, Saturday.


Died at the age of 66, the woman whose full name is Kristiani Herrawati Yudhoyono left her husband, two sons, two daughters-in-law, and four grandchildren. (ANTARA)
