 Indonesian presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto visited polling booth 041 in Bojong Koneng Village, Babakan Madang Sub-district, Bogor District, in Central Java, on Wednesday, to cast his vote.

Subianto, dressed in a white shirt and brown trousers, reached the polling booth at around 8:06 Western Indonesian Time.

Subianto was spotted in the company of Gerindra Party Vice Chairman Fadli Zon, whose name was also on the voter list at the polling station.

Presidential candidate Subianto had earlier planned to cast his ballot at the polling booth at around 7:00 Western Indonesian Time. 

In line with the agenda made public by the Prabowo-Sandi Media Center, before casting his vote, Subianto offered the dawn prayer at the Nurul Wathan Mosque in Hambalang.

After exercising his right to vote, Subianto planned to head to his residence on Kertanegara 4 Street to keep a close eye on the results of quick count of the 2019 Election. (ant)

Incumbent presidential candidate Joko Widodo and wife Iriana Widodo cast their votes at polling booth 008 located in the State Administrative Agency (LAN) office in Gambir, Central Jakarta on Wednesday.

Wearing white shirts, Jokowi and Iriana arrived at the polling booth at 10.00 a.m. 

The president and Iriana showed their marked little fingers after casting their ballots.

Jokowi said that he felt relieved after giving his vote, saying that he would play with his grand children and there was no plan yet to meet with chairman of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri.

Earlier on the day, vice presidential candidate Ma'ruf Amin cast his vote at polling booth 051 located at Deli Street in Koja, North Jakarta.

Also wearing white shirt, Ma'ruf Amin has called on his supporters to color the polling booth white.(ant)

President Joko Widodo, after performing Umrah (minor hajj), undertook a pilgrimage to the tomb of Prophet Muhammad and carried out a sunnah (optional) prayer in Raudhah (a special place), at Nabawi Mosque, Medina.

"Upon his arrival at the mosque, the President, Mrs. Iriana, and their two sons, Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Kaesang Pangarep, and the group carried out sunnah prayers at Raudhah," according to a statement from the Presidential Secretariat Deputy Protocol, Press and Media, Bey Machmudin, received by Antara in Jakarta on Monday.

Raudhah is located between the house of Prophet Muhammad and the mihrab or pulpit at the Prophet's Mosque.

While at the Nabawi Mosque, in addition to the tomb of the Prophet Muhammad, the President and Mrs. Iriana also undertook a pilgrimage to the tomb of Umar bin Khattab, and Abu Bakr Ash-Siddiq.

After the pilgrimage, at 11:00 local time, the President and First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo and the group headed to Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz Airport, Medina, to return to the country.

A number of officials who accompanied the President at the Nabawi Mosque were Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi, Chief of the Presidential Staff Moeldoko, and Indonesian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Agus Maftuh Abegebriel.  (ant)
