Indonesian male tennis player, Christopher Rungkat has the chance to compete at the 2020 Olympics in doubles but with a number of conditions to be met. General Chairman of the Executive Board of Indonesian Tennis Association (PB Pelti), Rildo Anwar told ANTARA in Jakarta on Tuesday night (9/7) that with 69 ATP rankings, Christopher Rungkat has the chance to pursue top 10 until June 2020. To be able to compete at the 2020 Olympics, Rildo as the 2018 mixed Asian Gold double medalist could only play in multiple categories.According to Rildo, in the singular number, the opportunity for Christopher is very small because the ranking is too far, namely 241, while the requirement to qualify for the single category Olympics is ranked 56th in the ATP or WTA. For the dual category, there are 32 slots for both male and female tennis players. Indonesian Tibo Monabesa became the International Boxing Organization (IBO) flyweight champion after the three match judges awarded him a victory over Australian Omari Kimweri in a 12-round full match at OepoiKupang Sports Hall, East Nusa Tenggara on Sunday (7 / 7 nights.Of the three judges, all of them raised Tibo. Catur Adi Sagita who was ranked 2240 was able to collect 6 points, while Vietnamese chess player, Nguyen AnhKhoi managed to collect 8 points and won the gold medal, and Indian chess player, Raghunan dan Kaumandur Sihari got 7 points or was in second place with silver.The  women's first junior champion of standard number section also won SerikbayAssel chess gold medal from Kazakhstan with 7 points, silver by Vantika Agrawal from India with 7 points, and bronze by AakankshaHagawane from India (6 1/2) points. While host chess player, Karenza Dita finished fifth with 6 points.According to Chairman of the Development and Achievement Division of the Executive Board Indonesian Chess Association (PB Percasi), Kristianus Liem, Indonesia in the championship all received three medals, one silver medal, and two bronze medlas. He said that the two bronze medals are from the flash number by JuwitaArdilia, and one from the standard number by CaturAdiSagita.

Tensions between the United States and Iran have not subsided. After imposing sanctions which also led to Iran's supreme leader, the United States is  planning  to mobilize other countries' support to put the military in waters near Iran. Chairman of the United States Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Joseph Dunford, stated Washington took the initiative to mobilize an international military coalition in the Strait of Hormuz and Bab El Mandab waters. These two areas are very important for ship traffic, especially tankers transporting  oil. The initiative of the US military to place an international coalition there  is said  to guarantee security and freedom of shipping. The idea of forming an international coalition came after a statement from Tehran that threatened to close the waters of Bab el Mandab. The threat was raised in reaction to US sanctions that prohibit the trading and shipping of Iranian oil. If the Iranian blockade is carried out, the trade traffic of around four million barrels of oil throughout the world through Bal El Mandab will be disrupted. The United States' invitation to secure the Strait of Hormuz and Bab El Mandab to this day, Friday, July 12 has not received any response. However,  Iran's threat to block El Bab Mandab can generate a broad  and different reaction, especially in countries with an interest in oil trading. Although not related to the Bab El Mandab closing  threat  or the initiative to mobilize an international military coalition, on Monday, July 8, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang said the unilateral intimidation by the United States had caused a violation of Iran's nuclear agreement. The statement from the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman seemed to imply that Beijing's attitude towards Tehran was still soft. The same attitude is also shown by France. Emmanuel Bonne, adviser to the French President at a meeting with Secretary of the Iranian National High Security Council Ali Shamkhani, in Tehran Wednesday July 10 implies France's attitude towards Iran. As the Iranian news agency Irna reported, Emmanuel Bonne stated that Paris wanted dialogue and cooperation with Tehran to manage the crisis in Syria, Yemen, Iraq and Lebanon. Seeing China and France’s attitudes, the United States might need to work hard to realize the idea of forming an international military coalition to protect the Strait of Hormuz and Bab El Mandab.

The preservation of Limboto Lake becomes one of cooperation focuses on Gorontalo Geopark Development Research along with The Research Institute for Humanity and Nature (RIHN) Kyoto of Japan. Head of Regional Development Planning Agency, Gorontalo province, Budiyanto Sidiki said on Saturday (6/7) that there must be more intensive research on disaster potential due to the presence of a cesarean which passes through Gorontalo, especially Limboto Lake. The data gained from Research and Development of the Agency, Gorontalo province shows that Limboto Lake is one of geological resource assets belonging to Gorontalo province that has a major role as flooding prevention, place of water storage, source of irrigation, fishery, habitat of various fauna and flora, place of rowing sport and tourism object.

In August, all elementary students in Taiwan are going to be required to learn one of 7 Southeast  Asian languages, Indonesian language. According to Education Ministry of Taiwan, seven languages which can be chosen to be learnt include Indonesian, Vietnamese, Thai, Myanmarese, Cambodian, Malay and Tagalog languages. In addition, those students can learn Hokkien, Hakka language or native language in Taiwan. To learn those languages, the government of Taiwan has conducted training for 2,000 part-time teachers. Liu Qian Ping is one of members of Assessment Committee of Southeast Asian Languages’ Teaching Book in Taiwan to BBC China; he explained that by being required the elementary students to learn migrant communities’ languages, the students are able to understand multi-languages, multi-ethnics, and multi-cultural communities’  concept in Taiwan.

Tourism Polytechnic in Makassar, South Sulawesi invites Breda University of Applied Science in the Netherlands to cooperate in a bid to enhance the quality and Human Resources’ competency of Indonesian Tourism, especially lecturers and students. Acting Director of Tourism Polytechnic, Makassar, Muhammad Arifin said in Jakarta on Sunday (7/7) that his side has signed Memorandum of Understanding -MoU along with Elisabeth Minnemann, President of the Executive Board Breda University of Applied Science in Breda, the Netherlands on July 4. Arifin further said that his side agreed to conduct some points of cooperation, such as competency development and qualification of lecturers and students on magister of tourism destination level. Both constitutions also agreed to conduct training in strengthening the role of Tourism Polytechnic  as study center of marine tourism, hamlet tourism, village tourism and research as well as international journal publication.

Indonesian Vice President, Jusuf Kalla received the visit of the United Arab Emirates Minister of Energy and Industry, Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei in Jakarta on Friday (5/7). They discussed the enhancement of investment cooperation of both countries.  In addition, the meeting also prepared plans for the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan's state visit to Indonesia in the third week of July. After the meeting at the Office of the Vice President in Jakarta, Friday (5/7), Vice President Jusuf Kalla mentioned the possibility of investment cooperation in various fields. Meanwhile, Minister Suhail Mohamed Al Mazroue said that his government wanted to explore investment cooperation with Indonesia. According to Minister Suhail, UEA is interested in Indonesia whose economy is in the top 15 in the world. He added that a number of projects were discussed, including cooperation in various sectors, such as real estate, energy, tourism and several others. Previously, Indonesian Minister of Industry, Airlangga Hartarto met Tashyeed Group CEO Zayed Bin Owaidah Al Qubaisy and the United Arab Emirates Private Investor Delegation at the Ministry of Industry Office in Jakarta on Tuesday (2/7). After the meeting, he said that the United Arab Emirates is exploring investment cooperation in a number of fields, including power plants, medical equipment, oil,  gas, and alternative energy industries, and the water treatment industry. According to Minister Airlangga Hartarto, Indonesia views the United Arab Emirates as a strategic partner, especially since Dubai is considered as one of the world's trade hubs for increasing exports of Indonesian industrial products to various countries. Minister Airlangga also explained the investment potential of the power plant industry in Indonesia as the electricity infrastructure development targets 35,000 MW. It also is facilitating research and development of solar cell products for implementation in industry and society. While looking at the potential in the medical equipment industry, the Indonesian government is pushing for the use of the latest technology in an integrated manner, including components, raw and auxiliary materials. Minister Airlangga also said that UAE industry players who want to invest in Indonesia have a good opportunity now, because the Indonesian government has provided convenience for foreign investors.
