This celebration is also closely related to the party celebrating the arrival of Spring. The Chinese New Year celebration starts on the 30th of the 12th month and ends on the 15th of the first month or better known as Cap Go Meh. Chinese New Year celebrations include Chinese New Year prayers, prayers to the Creator / Thian and Cap Go Meh celebrations. Chinese New Year celebrations in Indonesia have been held since the reign of Indonesia's 4th President, Abdurrahman Wahid, who upholds the values of pluralism and opens up the religious freedom of the Chinese people.
