Bogor Tourism is not only Puncak. There is also tourism of beautiful rice fields, such as in Mulyaharja Thematic Village. Enjoying weekends with your partner or family is appropriate to visit Mulyaharja Organic Tourism Agro Education (AEWO) or also known as Mulyaharja Thematic Village. There, you will be greeted by a stretch of rice fields that refresh your eyes.

This tourism of rice fields is unique compared to similar tourism in Tegalalang, Ubud or Suargabumi in Magelang because these rice fields are located in an organic farming area which is managed directly by the local people. According to Head of the Tourism Driving Group, Mulyaharja Oji or known as Kang Ojos, this rice field area has been developed by the Adult Farmer Group since 1987. Then in 2013, the rice fields were planted with organic rice and in 2017 it was developed into a location for agricultural education tourism.

For 3 years, AEWO Mulyaharja was developed into an integrated organic agricultural tourism area. Until the end of 2020, the Mulyaharja group was given a grant worth Rp 2.8 billion from the Bogor City Government to further strengthen this tourism. A number of facilities are available there, ranging from instagrammable photo spots, huts to relax, cafes and MSME kiosks, as well as educational facilities such as sheep sheds, making biogas from cow dung, to catfish ponds.

Mulyaharja Tourism Driving Group has a target of creating the Mulyaharja golden triangle which combines educational tourism, culinary delights, and modern hangout location. Currently, to enjoy tourism at AEWO Mulyaharja, you only need to pay Rp10 thousand. You can come from 07.00 am to 05.30 pm. There are many exciting activities that you can do at Mulyaharja Thematic Village, from enjoying the rice fields to staying overnight at residents' houses.

AEWO Mulyaharja has an area of 23 hectares of organic rice fields. But until now, only 5 hectares have been equipped with tourism facilities. For those of you who like to take pictures, you do not need to worry because the Mulyaharja thematic village also provides several instagrammable photo spots. Organic farming education is an advantage of this Thematic Village compared to other villages. For those of you who want to try this activity package, you can make a reservation in advance. The price is Rp 2.5 million for 30 people. The package includes planting facilities, instructors, and snacks.

It is not complete if you visit this Mulyaharja thematic village without enjoying its traditional culinary delights. You can enjoy savory rice with additional dishes of grilled or fried chicken, fried tofu and Tempeh, Karedok, and Jengkol stews and you only pay Rp 30 thousand per portion. Meanwhile, for drinks, one cup of Bajigur is available at a price of Rp 50,000. In addition, there are also other drinks such as coffee, tea and chocolate at a price of Rp 15 thousand/glass at the Saungkopi Cafe. One more fun activity that you can enjoy is to stay with the local residents who work as farmers.
