The first information is from France, Indonesia Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Finance Ministry discussed the efficiency of the government’s budget for its representatives abroad. The challenge for the government’s working performance today is heavier in reaching state’s development goals, included for the Indonesian foreign affairs’ staffs in implementing basic tasks and functions, as well as increasing Indonesia’s image in the world. The condition should be supported by administration and finance management which is strong effective and efficient. This was emphasized by Secretary General of the Indonesian Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mayerfas, in a discussion with the Indonesian Foreign Affairs and Finance Ministry in the Indonesian Embassy in France on April 23, 2018 on Monday. Ambassador Mayerfas said related to the finance, there are still many process which are still inefficient, such as long process of large transfer or fee. Director General of Treasuryalso conveyed the important role of an efficient financial system,so the utilization of budget can take place smoothly in accordance with the plan.

Premium quality furniture of 27 Indonesian designers exhibit on the biggest furniture and interior design exhibition in the world, Salone Internazionale del Mobile, Milan, April 17-22. The designers were selected through strictopen call process by Creative Economic Foundation to exhibit various kinds of their designs on the prestige event. Indonesia’s pavilion at Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2018 was flocked by businessmen who were interested in the wood and rattan products. Head of Creative Economic Foundation, Triawan Munaf, was proud of Indonesian furnitures which are more recognized by the world. The big demand on the products which were exhibited is hoped boosting Indonesian designersplace in global furniture industry.

One of Indonesia’s mainstay products, coffee was promoted by Indonesian embassy in Tashkent. After participating in an exhibition in Uzbekistan on early April, the Indonesian Embassy in Tashkent promoted coffee in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan (17-19/4). The Indonesian Embassy in Tashkent invited one of coffee and snack producers in promoting Indonesian food and beverage products on the exhibition. Various kinds of the products which were displayed such as instant coffee, biscuits, chocolate and also coffee candy, attracted the visitors to see and to taste the products. The Indonesian embassy also utilized the event to promote Indonesian cultures and tourist destinations. Kyrgyzstan Food Expo was the biggest exhibition in Kyrgyzstan. This year, the exhibition was visited by more than 3500 visitors and patricipated in by 40 exhibitors from 8 countries, amon others Russia, Belarus, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Germany, China, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Indonesia’s participation in the exhibition was one of the efforts to find new market for Indonesian coffee products.
