Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism, the Jakarta provincial government, Indonesian Chambers and Commerce in China hold ‘Indonesia Week 2018” in Shanghai, China. The event is held from May 4-13, 2018. Vice Consul of Information, Social and Culture of Indonesian consulate general in Shanghai, Radityo Panjaitan, to RRI World of Service Voice of Indonesia contributor, Kevin Zhao recently explained that Indonesia Week 2018 is held to introduce Indonesia to Chinese people in Shanghai and surrounding area. Various kinds of actvities are held, such as fashion show.
“The event is held to promote Indonesian cultures and Indonesian products to the Chinese people, especially in Shanghai and surrounding areas. The event contains fashion showand Indonesian dances. The event is part of ‘Indonesia incorporated’ to promote Indonesia to the world, especially to China,” Radityo Panjaitan said.
Radityo Panjaitan also explained that of the second Ina Week, is expected to be visited by 50 thousand visitors and to increase the number of Chinese tourist to Indonesia. Last year, at least 30 thousand people visited Ina Week 2017. According to Radityo Panjaitan, it is targeted 30 million Chinese tourists to visit Indonesia in 2018. (VOI/trs-yati/Kevin Zhao/NITA)
