The Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia (MotoGP 2022) at the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit starts today for the next two days (18/20/3). For three days, the public will be treated to a world-class sport tourism event which is a strong attraction for MotoGP fans and tourists.
Many tourists have arrived through various entrances. One of them is Lombok Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport (BIZAM).
There is something interesting when tourists set foot at Lombok Airport. Tourists get a different experience. In addition to the ornaments and decorations typical of MotoGP, tourists are also treated to a row of MSME creative economy products as well as various works of art from tourist villages in Lombok.
Kemenparekraf/Baparekraf in holding side events to promote and amplify the implementation of the Mandalika MotoGP by presenting creative economy product showcasing located in the lobby area of the BIZAM arrival terminal.
According to a release received by Voice of Indonesia on Friday (18/03/22), the various UMKM creative products displayed are typical of tourist villages on the island of Lombok. Such as MSME products from the Sade Hamlet Tourism Village in the form of woven fabrics, crafts, and dances.
The woven fabrics displayed include Kedogan, Tapu Kemalu, Selulut, Subhanale, and Keker. As for crafts, in this showcasing there are displays of ketak crafts, bracelet crafts, wood crafts, and knick-knacks typical of Sade Hamlet.
Tourists also have the opportunity to watch cultural performances or cultural performances in the form of iconic dances. Among them are the Amak Temengus Dance and the Beliran Dance from the Sade Hamlet Tourism Village, as well as the Beleq Gendang Dance from the Kopang Rembiga Tourism Village. Tourists can also see firsthand the craftsmanship of woven fabric craftsmen from Sade Hamlet.
In promoting creative economy products, Kemenparekraf/Baparekraf through the Deputy for Marketing also held a showcasing of creative economy products through Planogram Goes to Mandalika in the same place. Through this planogram, tourists can buy creative economy products by scanning the barcodes available for each product.
There are 300 products consisting of the fashion, craft, and culinary sub-sectors in the Planogram Goes to Mandalika.
The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy/Head of the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, previously stated that the Mandalika 2022 MotoGP event must have a significant impact on economic growth, especially for local MSME actors. The presence and support of Kemenparekraf/Baparekraf is expected to be able to mobilize and empower MSMEs.
"We have to make sure that this MotoGP brings optimism for a revival, and we continue to maintain the momentum of our economic recovery," said Sandiaga Uno.
The Kemenparekraf/Baparekraf have previously carried out various programs to empower local MSMEs by providing training and increasing competence. So that it can strengthen the attraction for tourists.
"We must be able to present quality products which can certainly be a momentum for our economic revival," said Sandiaga.
The Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia (MotoGP 2022) will take place for three days starting today (18/3) to Sunday (20/3).
