Nine aircraft delegates from the G20 Summit decided to park at Soekarno Hatta Airport (Soetta). The presidential vehicle and one charter plane came from five participating countries.

"There are still five countries with eight presidential planes and one Saudia Airlines charter plane parked in Soetta," said Kombes Pol Sigit Dani Setiono, Head of Soetta Airport Police, to RRI.co.id, Tuesday (11/15/2022).

Sigit explained that several countries parked their planes at Soetta Airport, including Russia.

"Russia, China, Turkey, Cambodia and Saudi Arabia have parked their planes in Soetta," he explained.

Sigit emphasized that his party wanted to ensure the safety of parked aircraft. He did not want the bomb terror incident in Turkey to occur at Soetta Airport.

"We are anticipating prevention. Don't let the incident in Istanbul, Turkey, happen at Soetta Airport and disrupt the G20 Presidency," said Dany.

Therefore, he continued, the police carried out sterilization in the Soetta Airport area during the arrival and departure of VVIP guests at the G20 Summit.

The police also conducted random checks of vehicles in the lobby of Terminal I at Soetta Airport. "The area that is the focus of attention is the entrance and lobby of Terminal I at Soetta Airport," he added.

The joint officers consist of Samapta Unit, Soetta Airport Police Traffic Traffic Unit, Polda Metro Jaya Animal Police, Brimobda Polda Metro Jaya, Polsubsector, TNI, and Avsec.
"In addition, there is the Jibom Team, Wanteror and K9 Samapta Polda Metro Jaya," said Sigit. (RRI)
