President Joko Widodo has left the APEC Asia-Pacific Economic Summit, even though it will only be finished, Saturday (19/11/2022) afternoon. President Jokowi said he was returning to Indonesia early to attend the 48th Muktamar Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah.
"However, because of my respect, my respect, for the invitation from PP Muhammadiyah and PP Aisyiyah. So, I went home first, ahead of the other leaders (at APEC)," said President Jokowi during his opening speech at the 48th Muktamar Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah at Manahan Stadium, Surakarta, Central Java, Saturday (19/11/2022).
In fact, President Jokowi also recounted his arrival in Surakarta, after departing from the APEC Summit venue, Bangkok, Thailand. "Last night, I was still in Bangkok, and arrived in Solo City at 11 pm. To attend the APEC Summit, the APEC Summit should have finished this afternoon," President Jokowi said, quoted from the RRI NET live broadcast.
President Jokowi also said that he felt proud to be able to visit directly with the big Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah families. Also present were a number of ministers from the Onward Indonesia Cabinet, as well as Deputy President Ma'ruf Amin and his wife.
"Alhamdulillah, I feel grateful and honored to be able to attend the Muktamar Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah Muktamar this morning. And Alhamdulillah, I and Iriana were able to stay in touch with all of you," said President Jokowi.
"After four days in Cambodia, then straight to Bali because of the G20 Summit, three days. And two days ago flew to Bangkok, Thailand, two days (there)," said the President explaining a series of agendas last week. (RRI)
