Indonesia plans to hold a high-level conference (Summit) Archipelagic and Island States (AIS) Forum in Bali in September 2023 which will be attended by heads of state and heads of government from 47 member countries of the AIS Forum. The Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan announced the plan at the 4th ministerial meeting of the AIS Forum in Nusa Dua, Bali Tuesday.
Luhut Pandjaitan when giving a speech at the 4th AIS Forum Ministerial Meeting in Bali said. to strengthen this cooperation, his party is also preparing for the AIS Forum high-level meeting. This cooperation will be stronger if it is voiced directly by the country's leaders. This summit has been proposed since 2019 and hopes that there will be no obstacle to holding it in 2023. Therefore Luhut asked the foreign ministers of each member country to help prepare the meeting of the leaders of the AIS Forum countries. (Antaranews)
