Jakarta (voinews.id): Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi stated that Indonesia has proposed 3 approaches in handling the Myanmar Crisis during the Asean chairmanship.
“During the working lunch meeting, we discussed the Myanmar crisis issue in an open, in depth, and frank manner as one family,” Retno said to the press as the Asean Secretariat Jakarta, Friday.
“Indonesia will put forward 3 approaches. First, it gets all stakeholders as a first step to facilitate possibilities of an inclusive national dialogue,” Retno said.
Second, she added, to build conducive condition to pave the way for an inclusive dialogue.
“And third, synergize Asean efforts with neighboring concerned countries and Special Envoy of the UN and other countries,” the minister stated.
She said that creating a conducive environment for an inclusive dialogue, requires reducing violence and ensuring delivery of humanitarian assistance improvement.
All Asean members representatives stated their full support to the approaches of Indonesia
“The foreign ministers reiterated the United approach in addressing the situation in Myanmar through the five points of consensus,” she said. (VOI/Yasmin)
