VOinews, Jakarta: Indonesian Minister of Trade (Mendag) Zulkifli Hasan hopes that coconut and pepper commodities can become the flagship of the Republic of Indonesia's (RI) trade and dominate the global market.

After visiting the Secretariat of the International Coconut Community (ICC) and the International Pepper Community (IPC) in Jakarta, Wednesday (124), Zulkifli said that Sumatra Island has large pepper production, such as white pepper from Bangka Belitung and black pepper from Lampung.

According to him, this has the potential to be developed to foreign countries.

The Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) also cooperates with ICC and IPC to exchange information to unify the vision and mission of pushing coconut and pepper commodities to be more global.

According to Zulkifli, these two commodities have been superior since ancient times. (Antaranews)
