VOINews, Jakarta - The Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) and Thales from France collaborated to develop technology infrastructure at IKN Nusantara Capital City.
"The technology company, Thales, is taking part in the development of Nusantara Capital City, so that it is able to create a city based on the concept of a smart city," Head of OIKN Bambang Susantono noted in his statement in Jakarta, Monday.
Susantono remarked that the development to be conducted will not only focus on creating a city with good technological infrastructure but the focus will also be on technological infrastructure that can be built based on the characteristics of IKN Nusantara, such as green, inclusive, smart, tough, and sustainable.
Apart from participating in the development of technological infrastructure at IKN Nusantara, the French technology company also partakes in providing training to the relevant community, so that the members are able to adapt to existing technological changes.
"Changing a civilization is not easy. This is because Indonesia is a developing country," Susantono stated.
The strategy that can be implemented to enable the society to adapt to technological changes is to provide equal opportunities to all people to participate in existing technological changes and prioritizing environmentally sustainable aspects.
One way in which this can be achieved is by involving the community in various technology-based programs, such as coding mom, coding disable, and solar mom.
Susantono and OIKN Deputy for Green and Digital Transformation Mohammed Ali Berawi met Executive President for Secured Communications and Information Systems of Thales Marc Darmon and Vice President Global Security and Digital Solutions Secure Communications and Information Systems of Thales Makrem Dridi at the Thales' office in Paris, France.
OIKN's visit to Thales is an effort made to collaborate with the large technology company in the development of IKN Nusantara.
Through discussions at the meeting, especially regarding the development process of IKN Nusantara, progress has been shown in the aspects of digital transformation and environmental sustainability.
This is because the development process of IKN Nusantara is based on the smart city concept and is always followed by efforts to provide and develop existing technology in accordance with the aspects of environmental sustainability.
Apart from that, it is also carried out using the Smart Building Guideline and Smart City Blueprint foundations. (Antaranews)
