VOI News : Assistant Minister for Trade and Manufacturing, Senator Tim Ayres holds a visit to Indonesia. His arrival is to reinforce the commitment of Australian government to increasing bilateral cooperation in the field of trade and investment.
“ Indonesia is home to more than 270 million people and is on the tract to be one of the world’s largest economies by 2040. Australia is well positioned to be part of this growth,” Ayres said.
While in Jakarta, Senator Tim Ayres will also address the Foreign Policy Community of Indonesia on the potential for Australi - Indonesia relationship. He looks forward to engaging with Indoneisan and Australian business and investors to hear their ideas on bolstering economic partnership of both countries.
Moreover, ahead of Australia’s hosting of the ASEAN- Australia Special Summit in March, Senator Tim Ayres will attend meetings at the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta to see how the two countries can boost their trade under recently upgraded ASEAN free trade agreement.
“ I will also visit a dairy production project supported by the Australian Centre for Agricultural Research andKONEKSI, a partnership of Australia and Indonesian Universities to address water and energy security,” Ayres explained.
