Tsunami that hit the coastal area of Banten on Saturday (12/22) destroyed hundreds of homes, more than 400 people died and 1,000 people injured. Shortly after the incident occurred, assistances from the central government, TNI, the Police and volunteers arrived. Met on the sidelines of his visit at Berkah Hospital, Pandeglang, Deputy Governor of Banten, Andika Hazrumi expressed his gratitude to all parties who have provided various kinds of assistances.
"Thank God, we received assistance from the central government, from fellow volunteers. I express my gratitude for the support, sympathy, empathy from the agencies, the wider community, and volunteers who are truly very helpful in helping the people, especially those in the Pandeglang district. The point is, the assistance and supports become our strength here," said Vice Governor.
Vice Governor of Banten Andika Hazrumi moreover added that the provincial government will optimizing aid distribution in several areas that difficult to reach such as Sumur subdistrict, Umang island, Hendelem island and ujung Jaya subdistrict. (VOI/NK/DP)
