Indonesia takes an export opportunity for food and beverage products to Hungary by participating at Sirha Budapest 2020 on 4th – 6th February. The participation of Indonesia has successfully recorded potential transaction worth US$3.5 million dollars. The Indonesian participation is cooperation between Indonesian Trade Promotion Center Budapest and Indonesian Embassy in Budapest. Secretary General of Trade Ministry, Oke Nurwan as quoted by Antara on Wednesday explained that the participation of Indonesia at the foreign exhibition is a promotional strategy of trade which must be carried out by the attaché trade and Indonesian Trade Promotion Center to open export market opportunity. Oke Nurwan also stated that the effort is done to supply some raw materials of industry for food and beverage to the market of Hungary and central and east Europe. Therefore, the participation in the exhibition needs to be utilized optimally to obtain actual or potential buyers to increase food and beverage export of Indonesia. Sirha Budapest 2020 is an international exhibition and it is prestigious in Hungary for central and east Europe.

He further stated that this time is an appropriate moment to boost partnership in the field of education with England. For Indonesian university students, the UK is able to provide luxurious study environment, particularly giving practical skills needed at the available employment. Meanwhile, for the British university students, studying in Indonesia gives special attraction because Indonesian is rich with cultural diversities. Indonesia promoted 5 super priority destinations nemaly lake Toba in North Sumatra, Borobudur in Central Java, Mandalika in West Nusa Tenggara, Labuan Bajo in East Nusa Tenggara and Likupang in North Sulawesi at tourism exhibition of Borsa Internazionale del Turismo 2020 held in Fieramilanocity, Milan for 3 days from 9 – 11 February.Consul of Information and Social Culture of Indonesian Embassy in Rome, Danang Waskito to Antara on Wednesday explained that to reach Italian market and global market, there were 11 Indonesian tourism industries which consists of 6 tourism travel agents or traveling operators, 2 destination companies and 3 hotels or resorts from 4 provinces namely West Papua, Bali, and East Nusa Tenggara and Jakarta participating in the exhibition. Indonesian pavilliun performed tourism destination beauty in Jakarta, Bali, East Nusa Tenggara, Central Kalimantan, and South Sulawesi. Meanwhile, Jakarta and Bali until now become one of main tourism destinations in Italy.
