Various efforts have been conducted by National Population and Family Planning Agency to prevent baby boom in the future. In addition to “Simultaneous Family Planning’s Service of Million Acceptors” movement which succeeded to be conducted when the 27th National Family Day on June 29, 2020, the Agency also keeps trying to ensure that the chain of contraception tool’s supply is not out of stock or over stock in one province and other provinces throughout Indonesia. Thereby, the agency and Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs (JH CCP) through My choice Program develop SIRIKA (Alokon Supply Chain Information System).

SIRIKA is innovation in the process of processing logistical reporting and managing data in a digital warehouse so that the agency has the supply chain which is reliable, and responsive in providing Alokon of Family Planning Service. Head of the Agency, Hasto Wardoyo hopes that the people can use SIRIKA. According to Wardoyo, SIRIKA is important to carry out the success in a bid to increase Modern Contraceptive Prevalence Rate -MCPR, and improve accountability. SIRIKA will also decrease workload in warehouse operations, including recording and reporting. As a result, it becomes more efficient. The quality of the data and the level of reporting will increase in quality so that it accelerates and strengthens accuracy in the calculation of the need for community services.

Senior Technical Advisor at Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs (JHCCP), Robert Ainslie stated  that the system focuses on boosting organization’s efficiency and standardization of management practices in accordance with supply chain rules, on Fulfillment of the Needs of Contraceptive Equipment and Drugs for Fertile Age Couples in Family Planning Services.
