Trisouls

We will present some pop songs from Trisouls. A song entitled ”Senyummu Hanya Untukku” contains complaint for the beautiful smile of someone. Although sounding romantic, the song "Senyummu Hanya Untukku" apparently represents universal love, so it can be delivered not only to the beloved ones, but also for family and friends. The song was the first single from the Trisouls group. Trisouls consists three personnels Yerri Rirriassa, Jesse Thomasmore, and Damien Jonathans. The three personnels formed Trisouls group in 2017 after having performed together in a show. With a poetic diction, Trisouls portrays a tragic farewell, for the beloved chooses to leave without giving any reasons before. The song that was released on January 18, 2018 also presented by Trisouls to the deaf, because they have inspired Trisouls in the cultivation of songs and video clips "Isyarat". Trisouls not only refers to one musical gendres. The group has also work many musical gendres including acoustics, pop, RnB, and soul. As a newcomer, Trisouls admitted that they still very open with new things, including musical style.

We will present the song of the people of North Sumatra. This song is about the Batak people who wander and miss their beloved hometown. Although only through the song, the proximity to the hometown is so pronounced, because Tano Batak or in Indonesian means Tanah Batak is always attached to the heart. Some songs from North Sumatra tell about their natural beauty. One of them is "Samosir Island" composed by Nahum Situmorang. Batak musicians are quite famous. The song entitled “Pilu” by Asmidar Darwis is composed by Husein Aidid withmusical arrangement created by Buslidel. As its title suggests, this song tells about the sadness due to the     lover is unfaithful. We will present keroncong songs by an Indonesian talented keroncong singer, Sundari Soekotjo. A song entitled “Langgam Kerinduan” which was sung by Sundari Untinasih tells about a couple lovers whoare far apart.The sound of the flute in the moonlight rising the longing to the lover. Sundari Soekotjo who was born in Jakarta 1965 consistent in keroncong music. Her ability in keroncong led her to become a Queen of Keroncong in Indonesia. Family background that discipline and love keroncong very much become a supporting factor for Sundari to loves and pursues the keroncong music.Sundari won various keroncong song festivals. In 2002, she released an original keroncong album entitled Ingkar Janji that became her first album. Thanks to the album, she nominated as a recipient of keroncong Award 2002 organized by Bina Suci Foundation and Radio Republik Indonesia. Besides singing keroncong, Sundari Soekotjo concern for her education, and it made her elected as a Duta Aksara.

Welcome back to Music Corner, a musical segment which introduces you to Indonesian Music, either traditional or modern one. In today’s edition, we present Malay songs. The song was composed by an Indonesian legendary composer Ismail Marzuki, with the theme about someone’s sense of longing. The Malay song was previously performed by a Malayan singer Said Effendi in the 60's era. Then Eddy Silitonga brought it back and helped to popularize it to Malaysia. Through the song, the name of Eddy Silitonga was also populat as the Indonesian malay singer. The song "Di Ambang Sore" was also brought back by Victor Hutabarat, Iis Dahlia and Ikke Nurjanah with their respective versions.

The lyric of the song is like a rhyme and tells about the life of a helpless person. Like the previous song, the song Bunga Tanjung was quite popular between 1970s even popular to the neighboring country. Well listener, to conclude our segment of Music Corner for today, let’s listen to the last song entitled “Seroja” by Eddy Silitonga, composed by Husein Bawafie. This song was firstly popularized by Said Effendi, a Malay music artist.

Welcome back in Music Corner, a musical segment which introduces you to Indonesian music -either traditional or modern one. In today’s edition, we will present you some Ramadhan songs.

The song “Seluruh Nafas” was released in the album “Kidung Sufi” in 2013. Its lyric mentions if name of Allah is continuously mentioned, so His love will always accompanying us. Candra Malik has been well-known as a Sufi, litterateur, journalist, religious singer and even educator of boarding school in Central Java province.

The next song is presented by Kamila, a trio of vocalists and violists consists of Ava, Mia, and Ana. Without singing romantic songs anymore, Kamila released religious songs in 2016, entitled “Maha Rindu”. By being accompanied with pop rhythm, a song with the title “Maha Rindu” mentions that hatred only brings about disaster.Meanwhile, only God, the Almighty is able to give peace in human heart. Even, the wounded souls will miss the Divine and His guidance. the next song from Ungu band. Besides being romantic pop singer, Ungu is also well known due to the religious songs. One of them is “Doa”. Like its title,“Doa” contains of prayer of a follower to Allah. The prayer is a request in order to be given direction for the implementation of the repentance.

The last song is sung by Sarah entitled “Lillahi Ta’ala”. Maesarah Nur Zakah or famous with the name “Sarah” is well known through singing competition at national private television in 2014. Before releasing her first album entitled “Awakening” in 2016, Sarah focused to complete her study. One of her songs entitled “Lilahi Ta’ala” tells about a follower who says gratitude to Allah. She begs to be given His blessing and she surrenders in every her breath and step to Allah.

Central Kalimantan songs

We will present the songs from the Central Kalimantan region. Although there are several languages ​​used by Dayak people, in general the most widely spoken languages in Central Kalimantan are Banjar and Bahasa Indonesia. Some linguists think that the language of Banjar belongs to the Malay group. Anang Ardiansjah is known to be one of the songwriters and maestro from Kalimantan. Bagasing Balogo is a combination of two traditional games in Kalimantan. Bagasing means Gasing. This word is then combined into the title of the song as a symbol of the traditional game. This song tells about the bustling atmosphere of Bagasing Balogo game. This game is usually done by men both adults and children while killing their time. Thus, this song is composed with a carefree rhythm and appropriate music arrangement. The poem in the song entitled “TARI JAPIN” invites people to dance Japin. In addition to entertainment, songs like these are usually used to accompany Japin dancing. Japin or Zapin dancing is a Malay one which is influenced with Arab cultural dance and this can be found in North Sumatera, Riau Islands and some areas in Kalimantan.

We will present Keroncong song sung by Indonesian talented singers Bram Aceh and Safitri. A song “Hanya Engkau”, sung by Bram Aceh is a love-themed song which tells about a man who is adoring his lover. He feels always happy when the beloved woman is close to him. That’s a glimpse of the song “Hanya Engkau” dedicated by Bram Titaley or better known as Bram Aceh. His ability to present keroncong songs has brought the man who was born in Banda Aceh a nickname of “the Father of Keroncong Indonesia”. Bram then gave birth to generation of singers who develop Indonesian music world. They are Harvey Malaiholo, Irma June and Glenn Fredly, his grandchildren. Bram’s career began when he won the competition of Keroncong Jakarta Raya in 1955 as the first winner. Ismail Marzuki is a talented music composer of Indonesia in the era of Indonesian independence struggle. The song is still enjoyable to listen and always inspires patriotism and nationalism spirit. The song was dedicated by Noor Agni Safitri or better known as Safitri with modern keroncong music. To present keroncong songs Safitri was usually accompanied by okulele, flute and violin. Thanks to the encouragement of her parents, Safitri was finally interested in kroncong music, and focused on the music. Moreover, singing keroncong is an irreplaceable pride during her life.

We will present the songs of the people of Lampung. A song entitled “TAPIS BERSERI” is actually the slogan of Bandar Lampung, the capital of Lampung province. The phrase of “TAPIS BERSERI” is short for Orderly, Safe, Obedient, Faithful, Prosperous, and Clean, Healthy, Rap neat and Beautiful. Composed by Semar Jaya IS, the song is fast and cheerful. While the music is Malay music, which is marked by the game of musical instruments -accordion, tambourine and serunai. Besides being a Slogan, the name Tapis is also used for traditional cloth of Lampung people. The song "Siger Lampung" tells the story of Siger. Siger is a triangular, gold-colored bridal crown of Lampung and usually has nine or seven branches or curves. This crown is then a symbol of Lampung province. Although in rock genre, the song “Ibadah Yok” is still thick on invitation for Muslims to worship. Its lyric describes human with endless desire. The consequently, life becomes misery. To avoid from misery life, worship becomes solution.

The next song entitled “Lima Waktu” by Yuni Shara also invites Muslims to do worship 5 times a day. The song which was released in 2004, describes how the God really loves His followers. Although the great blessing which has been given by Him and He is so noble, the God only asks human beings to have 5 times a day to worship. 

“Ramadhan Datang” is hits single of Tompi which is taken from the album entitled “Soulful Ramadhan” released in 2006. Its lyric and arrangement which is full of joy, makes the song be often played at electronic media and shopping center when Ramadhan comes. 
Titi Kamal, singer and also actress. A song entitled “Berserah” is  the song that can be said similar prayer. Because its lyric contains of request for guidance and protection from the God, and the expression of surrender to the power of God.
