The MCA-I Project Provides Positive Impact on the Society of Sumba

VOI News - Projects resulting from the signing of a cooperation agreement between the grant management agency, Millennium Challenge Account - Indonesia, with international development organizations, Hivos, have a positive impact on communities in East Nusa Tenggara, in particular Sumba Island. Education and industry sectors have a positive impact on the quality of these projects. This was stated by the Head of the Office of Energy and Mineral Resources of East Nusa Tenggara Province, Boni, on the sidelines of the National Learning on renewable energy entitled Terangi Nusantara: Turning Hope , Answering the Challenges of Renewable Energy in Jakarta, Wednesday, January 24, 2018.
"So it means that the existing improvement is an example from the educational point of view. There was no electricity there. But when there is the electricity, the reading would interest increases. Then the working hours of the industries in the area will also improve," Boni said.
Boni further explained that the Millennium Challenge Account - Indonesia projects implemented in East Nusa Tenggara Province, especially in Sumba Island have also succeeded in creating new livelihoods in various sectors for the local communities. With the new livelihood, the local people's welfare will be better than ever. The United States will Help Indonesia in Countering Terrorism

The US Defense Minister, James Mattis after meeting with Indonesian Defense Minister Ryamizard Ryacudu, at the Indonesian Defense Ministry in Jakarta on Tuesday (23/01) said the US will help Indonesia to fight against terrorism. He explained that terrorism has become common enemy of countries in the world that must be solved together.
"Respond any requests from Indonesia on counter terrorism to include special forces unit that conduct counter-terrorism, protect it innocent people and we must work together larger problems," James Mattis said.
Meanwhile, Indonesian Defense Minister appreciated the US support to involve actively in maintaining the security in South East Asian region especially to counter terrorism. Indonesian and US Defense Ministers Discuss Strategic Cooperation of the two Countries

Indonesian Defense Minister, Ryamizard Ryacudu discussed strategic cooperation with the US Defense Minister James Mattis, at the Indonesian Defense Ministry building in Jakarta on Tuesday (23/01). After the meeting, Minister Ryamizard to Media said the two ministers agreed to strengthen and increase bilateral beneficial cooperation for the two countries. He said the maritime cooperation also become an important issue for Indonesia and the US, since Indonesias vision as the world maritime axis.
"As the defense ministers, we work together for common security in the region. Then, we talk about important issues such as North Korea, South China Sea, Trilateral and Rohingya. We must not provoke North Korea, but we invite the UN to urge North Korea to keep international law," Riyamizard Ryacudu said.
Furthermore, Minister Ryamizard Ryacudu also said the meeting also talk about lifting the ban for Indonesian Army Special Forces personnel to come to the United States. President Appreciates Performance of Indonesian Military and Police to save Democracy Party

Indonesian President Joko Widodo opened leadership meeting of Indonesian military and Police on Tuesday (23/1) at the Indonesian Militarys headquarter in Cilangkap, Jakarta. In his speech, the president underlined has increased peoples awareness on the implementation of safe and peaceful democracy party, both at the central and regional levels. According to the president, it has showed the increase of peoples awareness and maturity in politic as well as positive performance of Indonesian military and Police in securing the implementation of Presidential, legislative and regional Heads election. Nevertheless, the President reminded all element of the Indonesian military and Police to invite all people to increase their maturity in politic. It is aimed that the implementation of the democratic party in Indonesia will run safely and peacefully.
"We should not be complacent. We have to invite all national components to increase our maturity in democraty, to protecting our brotherhood, security and orderliness. We should be aware on dynamic movement which can bother Pancasila, the Unitary State of Indonesia-NKRI, the 1945 Constitution, and the Unity in Diversity," President Joko Widodo said.
