An annual agenda of Bogor Street Fest Cap Go Meh (CGM) 2018 cultural festival was held On Friday (02/03), along Suryakencana road, Bogor, West Java. The festival was enlivened by arts performances from various regions in Indonesia and involved about 6,000 artists and culturists and it was also attended by about 100,000 visitors to watch the festival. This year, Bogor Street Fest 2018 brings the motto ‘Cultural event unifying the nation’, as this activity is no longer an activity of ethnic and religion, but this is an activity of all society in Indonesia.
“This cultural agenda is no longer an activity of a particular entity or religion, but it is also a cultural chain run by elements with different backgrounds, whether ethnic, or religious followers in Indonesia. Thus, Bogor Street Fest Cap Go Meh 2018 brings the motto ‘Cultural event unifying the nation”, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Bogor Street Fest Cap Go Meh 2018, Arifin Himawan said in his welcome speech.
In addition, Arifin Himawan further said the representatives of friendly countries such as the Palestinian Embassy, the Embassy of the Netherlands, the Embassy of Singapore and the Embassy of Japan were present to witness the diversity and value of the unity of the nation displayed in Bogor City. PT. Mobil Anak Bangsa officially introduces the second prototype of electric bus of its creation at the exhibition of commercial vehicles of the Indonesian Motor Vehicle Industry-Gaikindo Indonesia Commercial Vehicle Expo-GIICOMVEX 2018 held in Jakarta from 1 to 4 March. On the sidelines of GIICOMVEX 2018 exhibition on Friday (2/3) Technical Director of PT. Mobil Anak Bangsa, Bambang Tri Soepandji said that the idea of developing electric bus was firstly initiated by the Indonesian retired General Moeldoko in 2015.
“So, the initial idea was by Retired Gen. Moeldoko. He had a vision for the future after he got retired that cars with fossil fuels will come to an end. So, there needs to be alternative energy to drive the cars. One of the things that he thought is with the use of batteries. The batteries with electric motors can drive the vehicles,” Bambang Tri Soepandji said.
Bambang further said that his side decides to develop electric buses which are able to carry more passengers and can also be used as public transportation in the future. Related to the prototype of electric buses exhibited at GIICOMVEX 2018, Bambang explained that the bus is specially designed for urban transport and airport. He added that the prototype of this electric bus will be mass-produced independently. It was recorded since 2009 Karoseri Laksana has exported hundreds of buses to the Fiji Islands with a variety of types and sizes. On the sidelines of a commercial vehicle exhibition of the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries-Gaikindo Indonesia Commercial Vehicle Expo (GIICOMVEX) 2018 in Jakarta, Friday (March 2, 2018), Marketing Manager of Karoseri Laksana, Candra Dewi said that the bus company in Fiji is interested in ordering Karoseri Laksana’s products after seeing the design offered through the company's website.
“Precisely, the story goes like this. We were on the website at that time. They directly contacted us. Indeed, there is a body builder in Indonesia, especially Central Java and they are interested because the design is like that. For our design, it is original yes. This means that we create our own products instead of copying other countries’,” Candra Dewi said.
Candra added that the bus company in Fiji Islands is interested in ordering Karoseri Laksana’s products because the price offered is very competitive with the quality equivalent to world production buses. In addition, the bus production capabilities that adjust to different regulations and environmental conditions are a main consideration for the bus company in Fiji Islands when booking buses to Karoseri Laksana. The existence of defense industry as part of component in developing state defense has become vital in supporting state defense power. This was stated by Chairman of Implementation Team of State Defense Industry Policy Committee (KKIP), Soemardjono to media when explaining the task of KKIP at Indonesian Defense Ministry in Jakarta on Friday (02/03). He said that there are five state defense components. They are defense doctrine, defense strategy, defense posture, defense structure and defense technology. Soemardjono also explained if the state has not been able to produce defense technologies, it can purchase them to foreign countries based on the existing rules.
“The law states that to purchase foreign defense products, the first is the national defense industry cannot produce defense products. So, it can purchase them from foreign defense industries. But, it must be through government to government or government to business schemes. The second point is that we must not use agent which contradicts the existing rule,” Soemardjono said.
Moreover, Soemardjono further said that defense technology is important because it can change and bring about direct impact on strategy, posture and defense structure. He said if the technology changes, the strategy, posture and defense structure will change as well.
