The Indonesian government wants a two-state solution, namely Israel and Palestine living side by side in accordance with international parameters.

This was said by the Director General of Asia Pacific and Africa of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Abdul Kadir Jailani in an online discussion in Jakarta, Monday (3/6)// Abdul explained that the two-state solution desired by Indonesia is the establishment of a Palestinian state with borders determined in 1967.

The second parameter is the cessation of construction of Jewish settlements in the West Bank. The third is the right of the Palestinians to return to their homeland.

The last and more important parameter according to Abdul is Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine.

According to Abdul Kadir, the two-state solution is a very difficult thing, because at this time Israel firmly rejects it. (Antara)

Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi stated that the Indonesian government still firmly and consistently holds the principle of universal values to defend the Palestinian people. Because of this firmness and principle, Indonesia is respected by the world.
 
This was said by Retno Marsudi when giving a public lecture entitled Indonesian Diplomacy for Indonesia at the Senate Hall of Gadjah Mada University (UGM) Yogyakarta, Monday (03/06/2024).
 
Retno Marsudi emphasized that the consistency of the principle is not an easy thing for Indonesia in the midst of a difficult and stressful world situation. Nevertheless, Retno Marsudi emphasized that Indonesia can still maintain the principle. (Antara)

World Water Forum 2024 (WWF 2024) was successfully held in Bali from 18 to 25 May 2024. Indonesian Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno said that the impact of organizing the 10th World Water Forum 2024 on the tourism sector and creative economy reached more than 1.3 trillion rupiah. This was revealed by Sandiaga Uno during The Weekly Brief with Sandi Uno which was held hybrid in Jakarta Monday (03/06/2024).
 
“The economic impact with the survey that we have conducted with a 95 percent confidence level, with a margin of error of 5 percent, 400 more respondents said that they spent above 38.8 million and this is a figure far above our prediction of around 2000 dollars initial target. And the total economic impact which is above 1.3 trillion is also between the range of 1 to 1.5 trillion contributions from the World Water Forum to the MICE and tourism-based economy in Bali and its surroundings,“ the Minister explained.
 
Furthermore, Minister Sandiaga Uno said that the 2024 World Water Forum was able to drive national economic activity, both Bali as the host and national economic activity. (Voi-NK-Mar)

The Green Tourism Program initiated by the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy is expected to contribute 12 percent of Indonesia's Gross Domestic Product. This was conveyed by the Indonesian Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, after a media briefing in Jakarta, Monday (03/06).
 
"We have determined that green tourism with the concept of blue and green circular economy with aspects of quality and sustainability that we will focus on. So the contribution of this green tourism and creative economy is around 12 percent of our GDP. If we can transform towards a green economy then we will play a very strategic role," said Minister Uno.
 
 
Sandiaga Uno added, with Indonesia's natural wealth, nature-based tourism or ecotourism can be optimized. Meanwhile, for 2024, the Ministry of Finance on the mediakeuangan.kemenkeu.go.id page lists mentioned the performance target of the tourism sector is expected to generate foreign exchange of 7.38 to 13.08 billion US dollars, and contribute to GDP by 4.5 percent and create 22.8 million jobs.
