VOINews, Jakarta - Indonesia must ensure the continuation of the G20 Summit's commitment that was declared in Bali on November 15, 2022, into this year's G20 Summit in New Delhi that was held on September 12, 2023.

The statement was made by Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto here on Wednesday.

"As part of the Troika, Indonesia has the responsibility to ensure the continuity of Indonesia's initiatives in the G20 forum," Hartarto remarked.

Meanwhile, Indonesia had several key priorities in the Indian G20 Presidency, including ensuring the implementation of commitments agreed at the G20 Bali Summit, especially in global health architecture, digital economy transformation, and energy transition.

One of the main focuses in the digital economy transformation is cybersecurity and regulations related to artificial intelligence (AI).

Meanwhile, the energy transition priorities include the downstream of manufacturing industries and efforts toward a low-carbon economy.

Hartarto underlined the importance of supervision and adjustment to the development of digital transformation, considering the speed of AI growth, which is often faster than regulatory efforts.

He said that supervision is necessary to manage the risks that come with the development of digital technologies.

In addition, Indonesia affirmed its commitment as a neutral country and stuck to the theme of India's G20 Presidency, namely of "One Earth, One Family, One Future."

With the spirit of togetherness, Hartarto expressed hope that all parties would create a fairer economy and get equal access to resources.

On the first day of the G20 New Delhi Summit, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) highlighted three keys to world development, namely stability, solidarity, and equality. He said that global growth must be supported by stability through strong dialogue and cooperation.

"The G20 forum must provide support to developing countries in the global supply chain with the principles of fairness and inclusion," Hartarto remarked. (Antaranews)
