Bilateral relations between Indonesia and Poland are getting stronger. This is marked by an increase in the value of trade between the two countries which increase significantly in 2022. 

Indonesia and Poland strengthen their bilateral relations through various sectors including trade. On Poland's independence day which was held on Friday (10/11/23) in Jakarta, the Polish Ambassador to Indonesia and Timor Leste, Beata Stoczynska, revealed that the Ministers of the two countries carried out various collaborations in various sectors and had recorded a trade value in 2022 of 2 billion US dollars.

"Polish and Indonesian ministers are working to boost the cooperation via bilateral agreements and MOU’s. Energy, transport, green enrgy, lightening, ITC, transport industry are among sectors with a huge potencial. Trade between Poland and Indonesia is increasing and last year has reach the worth volume of 2 billion US Dollars", Ambassador Beata explain. 

Ambassador Stoczynska added that one way to promote various Polish products as well as tourism and culture is through the Poland Festival which will be held in November 2023.

On the same occasion, the Indonesian Minister of Finance, Sri Mulyani explained that the investment value between Indonesia and Poland in 2023 has reached 106 projects.

"Poland investment in Indonesia has been a significant increase with 324 projects since 2019. In 2023 alone the investment realisation has reach 106 projects. This is twice as many as the previous year. This will also bring a very encouraging news for both Indonesia and Poland", Minister Sri Mulyani said. 

Minister Sri Mulyani also said that Indonesia and Poland were also exploring cooperation in the renewable energy sector to overcome climate change. Poland is an important partner for Indonesia because currently Poland is a dynamic force for the European Union with the 6th largest economic growth in the European Union and only has a low unemployment rate of 2.9 percent//VOI-NK
