The Indonesian Embassy in Addis Ababa encourages increasing literacy of the Ethiopian people about Indonesia/ through an event entitled "Indonesia from an Ethiopian Perspective"// In an official statement/ the Indonesian Ambassador to Ethiopia/ Al Busyra Basnur/ Friday said/ this event aims to increase public knowledge/ especially the younger generation of Ethiopia about Indonesia//
The Ambassador said/ the event/ organized by the Indonesian Embassy in Addis Ababa/ was in collaboration with Saint Daniel Comboni Secondary School/ Hawassa/ involving 200 students and 15 teachers from the school//
It presented Dubale Gebeyehu/ a speaker from Hawassa / a leading university in Ethiopia // According to Ambassador Al Busyra Basnur / Dubale Gebeyehu is a lecturer who often delivers presentations about Indonesia in various forums in Ethiopia//
In front of 200 students/ he delivered a presentation on developments in Indonesia/ especially in the fields of education/ economy/ and tourism// He also spoke about opportunities for bilateral cooperation between Indonesia and Ethiopia//
In addition/ Dubale Gebeyehu also expressed his admiration for the development of Indonesian tourism// According to him/ Ethiopia has many good tourist attractions/ but has not been developed as well as in Indonesia//
Ambassador Al Busyra Basnur said/ the introduction event about Indonesia received a warm welcome from the students// Moreover/ after the presentation, a competition was held to answer several questions about Indonesia/ with prizes of dozens of books written by Ambassador Al Busyra Basnur//
The Ambassador disclosed that in the last five years/ the Indonesian Embassy in Addis Ababa has held many activities involving the young generation of both countries/ especially school students//
Other programs that have been carried out/ including online meetings and discussions/ connect Ethiopian students with Indonesia//
