The ASEAN + 3 Song Contest which was held in Quang Province Ninh, Vietnam, July 26-29 2019, is not just a singing contest, but it is also a place to increase unity among ASEAN member countries. Besides that, through music it is hoped that the participants can better introduce their respective countries and make contributions for the sake of their countries. This was stated by Bemby Gusti, an Indonesian judge to the contest, Saturday (07/27/2019) at Ha Long Bay, Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam.
"I hope the music can become a means to unite ASEAN and increase the of the Asians here, as well as the representation of countries, bring the good name of their respective countries," Bemby Gusti said.
In the ASEAN+3 Song Contest 2019 Indonesia sends 2 singers, Asty Pujisari and Olivia Christina and 1 jury, Bemby Gusti, an Indonesian musician and composer who was active in arranging film music and has been a judge at the Indonesian Film Festival. The ASEAN+ 3 Contest 2019 held by the Voice of Vietnam for the second time was participated in by 22 contestants consisting of singers and artists from 10 ASEAN countries and 4 invitations from China, the Republic of Korea and Japan. The Pop music contest which is intended for young professional singers between 18-35 years old, aims to strengthen social understanding and meeting between Vietnam and countries in the region and foster the development of young talents in music in the ASEAN community.
