Indonesia has initiated a UN resolution or decision on the creative economy at the UN General Assembly Session. A release received by the RRI, Saturday (11/16/2019)stated that the resolution was reached through a consensus on November 14, 2019, in New York. The resolution entitled "International Year of Creative Economy for Sustainable Development, 2021” emphasizes the crucial role of the creative economy sector in promoting sustainable development. Ambassador Dian Triansyah Djani, Indonesia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York, stressed: "Indonesia has taken various steps to mainstream the creative economy at the UN given its contribution to sustainable development in many countries". For the first time, Indonesia initiated a decision at the UN, in the form of a creative economic resolution, which had never been done before by other countries.
