Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah expresses gratitude for the South Korean government's support to Indonesia in handling the Covid-19 and protection of Indonesian citizens in Korea, in her remarks on the commemoration of South Korean National Day on Saturday.
On that occasion, Minister Ida Fauziyah conveyed various collaborations that have developed progressively in various fields between Indonesia and South Korea.
"As a special strategic partner, the cooperation between Indonesia and Korea has progressively developed in various fields, from industry 4.0, economy, investment, trade, education, to increasing human resource capacity. The partnership between the two countries is getting closer despite the challenges of a pandemic through various cooperation in countering COVID-19," Ida said.
Ida said that in the employment and human resources cooperation, she also appreciated the role of the Republic of Korea government in facilitating Indonesian migrant workers to get an adequate work environment and equal treatment.
She added that the two countries supported each other in dealing with regional and global issues. She said Indonesia always supports the achievement of peace and stability in the Korean peninsula through communication and dialog. (VOI)
