The Korean Cultural Center Indonesia, the Embassy of The Republic of Korea together with a number of Korean agencies in Indonesia held the Korean Culture Month "K-Festival 2020" in online and offline formats from October to November 2020.
Korean Cultural Center Indonesia (KCCI), Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) Jakarta, Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) Indonesia, Korea International Trade Association (KITA) Jakarta, Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food (aT) Jakarta, CGV Indonesia, and iLotte will participate in the K-Festival 2020.
At the K-Festival, there will be K-Content, K-Performance, K-Exhibition, K-Food, and K-Events.
The event started with a virtual celebration of National Foundation Day by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Indonesia on 2-4 October 2020, which presents various programs on the official Instagram account of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea (@koremb.idn).
Then it follows with a webinar themed "The current situation and future of Hallyu in Indonesia" with expert speakers from home and abroad. Then, the celebration of the 574th Hangeul Day with online quiz event.
In the sports branch, an online Taekwondo competition will be held to win the Ambassador Cup in collaboration with the Indonesian Taekwondo Executive Board (PBTI).
The Korea-Indonesia Film Festival (KIFF) in collaboration with CGV Indonesia will be presented in online and offline platforms.
From the tourism sector, in order to promote Muslim-friendly travel to Korea, KTO Jakarta will hold a tourist festival online. And, KOCCA will hold the Hallyu festival online with B2B consultation sessions to see your K-Pop fan meeting.
The K-Performance category presents 3 events: Hallyu Com-on, an annual event held by the Hallyu community in Indonesia, two K-Pop themed competitions, and K-Pop Cover Dance Festival (KCDF) in collaboration with Korean publishing, Seoul, Shinmun. In addition, a number of finalists and winners K-Pop performances which have been held by KCCI since 2016 will compete in "Online Contest K-Pop Cover Best of the Best in Indonesia".
The K-Exhibition of paintings with folk painting style (Minhwa) will be held online. It will display 100 paintings of various creations.
KITA Jakarta will cooperate with COEX holding online consultation sessions for marketing consumer goods exports, including for small and medium enterprises.
In the K-Food category, aT Jakarta collaborates with an e-commerce platform Tokopedia and Qoo10 to promote Korean food. In terms of entertainment will present K-Food-themed musicals and cooking shows.
A category that is also expected to attract the interest of many people is K-Event, which is giving out prizes through lucky draw and Hashtag Events. This event can be followed by anyone anywhere in Indonesia by attending and participating in the K-Festival 2020 series of events.
