Mount Sinabung Condition is Calm This Morning: BPBD

Mount Sinabung condition this morning is very calm. Head of Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Karo Martin Sitepu, Tuesday (20/2) said in Karo, North Sumatra, there is no eruption and roar like yesterday morning. On Monday (19/2) Mount Sinabung erupts with great intensity. Hot clouds glide up to five kilometers. Several areas in Karo were covered in volcanic ash. It even reaches Lhokseumawe, Aceh. BPBD is still cleaning the roads which covered in volcanic ash. Residents around the foot of Mount Sinabung, who had left home due to volcanic dust, have started to return to their villages. Although Sinabung did not erupt this morning, BPBD Karo still prohibits people from entering the red zone of a five kilometers radius to seven kilometers from Sinabung. Observation Post staff of Mount Sinabung, Muhammad Asrori, said this morning, from the southeast, Sinabung clearly visible. Mount Sinabung status until now still on level IV or alert. The height of the ash column reaches 5,000 meters. There were no casualties and house damage due to the incident. President Joko Widodo led the oath after the reading of Presidential Decree No. 31 of 2018 dated 19 February on Appointment of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary. Lemhannas Optimizes the Spreading of National Values Understanding for the State Leaders

The National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas) optimizes the spread of nationality values through education program for leaders in the state and ministerial institutions. Lemhannas continues to enhance its role to give understanding the value of nationalism for 100 participants of the program consisting of 93 participants from Indonesia and 7 participants from other countries. This was said by the Governor of the National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas) Agus Widjojo on the sidelines of the Opening of the 57th Regular Education Program (PPRA) in 2018 at Lemhannas Building Jakarta on Tuesday (20/02).
"We need to look at the function and authority which is given constitutionally to Lemhannas, to carry out education for national level leaders. Then conducting the development and dissemination of national values, consolidation of nationality values and carry out strategic level assessments for the government. We do the socialization, disseminating nationality values and consolidating national values, through the participants who participate in the Lemhannas program," Agus Widjojo said.
In addition, Lemhanas Governor Agus Widjojo said that the Indonesian participants who attended the 57th Regular Education Program (PPRA) will get the national leadership of strategic level with the statesmanship concept. Agus moreover hoped they can actualize the national values within the existing policies//(Voi/AF)
