Foreign journalists are still required to carry a valid passport even though it is facilitated by visa-free. This was conveyed by Muhammad Tito Adrianto, Head of the Class I Immigration Office for TPI Soekarno Hatta.

According to him, this provision is given for coverage of the G20 Presidency in Bali in November. The 17th G20 Summit is planned to be held in Bali on 15-16 November 2022.

"Indeed, not only delegates, but foreign journalists are also visa-free with certain conditions," Tito told RRI, Sunday (23/10/2022).

"First, a valid and still valid passport and a return ticket or a canal ticket to continue the journey to another country," he said.

Then, he continued, proof of registration or invitation letter of foreign journalists or delegates of the 2022 G20 Indonesia Presidency. The evidence was submitted upon arrival at the Soekarno Hatta or Ngurah Rai Immigration Office, Bali, on November 1-18.

"Soekarno Hatta's Immigration Office has prepared a special visa-free counter for G20 delegates and journalists," he said. (RRI)
