Foreign delegates and journalists participating in the G20 Bali on November 15-16 can take advantage of the visa-free facility. This was conveyed by the Head of the Class I Immigration Office for TPI Soekarno Hatta, Muhamad Tito Adrianto.

According to Tito, this is a form of support for the agenda of the G20 Summit in Bali. Therefore, the G20 delegation and journalists covering the G20 Summit do not need to prepare visas.

"Soekarno Hatta Immigration Office has prepared a special visa-free counter for G20 delegates and journalists. To support this policy, BVK (Free Visit Visa, ed) entry permits will be given directly at the Immigration Checkpoint," Tito told RRI, Sunday (23/10/2022).

"This provision applies according to the Letter of the Directorate General of Immigration Number IMI-GR.01.01-0738 concerning Immigration Check Support for Foreign Delegates and Foreign Journalists of the G20 Presidency," he said.

Even though it is visa-free, said Tito, immigration checks will still be carried out according to the rules. One of them is the delegates and journalists provide passports that are still active.

Head of the Division of Immigration Checkpoints for Class I Special TPI Soekarno Hatta Verico Sandi stated that he had made several preparations. Among them are preparing officers and mobile device units for the Immigration Crossing Application (APK). This application is specifically for conducting immigration checks on G20 delegates and journalists, and a VVIP lounge for ministerial-level delegates.

"Then, a special lounge with Border Control Management (BCM, ed) integrated with Customs and KKP at Gate 1 International Arrivals for delegates under the minister, as well as a special G20 counter in the Immigration area for delegates and journalists," he said. (RRI)
