President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is eyeing to increase specimen testing, conducted to determine the transmission and spread of COVID-19, to nearly 20 thousand tests per day. The President affirmed at a limited virtual meeting on acceleration of COVID-19 pandemic handling held from the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta, Thursday. Vice President Ma'ruf Amin, Cabinet Ministers, and Chairman of the Task Force Doni Monardo partook in the meeting. As quoted by Antara, Jokowi also commended that specimen testing had reached 10 thousand per day, in line with his earlier target. As of Wednesday, June 3, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Indonesia had reached 28,233, with 8,406 recovered and 1,698 deaths//ANT
