Indonesia has begun to open defense industrial cooperation with Romania. The team from the Indonesian Embassy in Bucharest made a visit to a firearms factory in Cugir, Romania on Wednesday (7/10). Cugir is a center for the production of firearms, both long and short-barreled, as well as ammunition for the Romanian defense industry, as well as those used by civilians. The visit of the Indonesian Embassy in Bucharest this time was welcomed by the State Secretary of the Romanian Ministry of Economy, Energy and Business Development, Iulian Cristian Simu, who was very enthusiastic about establishing further cooperation in the Southeast Asia region. Specifically, he stated that it is possible to transfer technology, increase capacity, and adjustments based on demand.
Indonesia and Ethiopia have a huge opportunity to organize collaborative programs in the field of inter-tertiary education. This cooperation is included in the field of teaching, study, student exchange and research on Islam. The Indonesian Embassy in Addis Ababa and the State Islamic University (UIN) Syarif Hidayatullah in Jakarta will also collaborate on research and publishing books in the field of education. This was conveyed by Al Busyra Basnur, the Indonesian Ambassador to Ethiopia, Djibouti and the African Union in a virtual public lecture delivered before 150 students and lecturers of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah, on Thursday (8/10). The lecture entitled "Islam and Muslim Communities in Ethiopia: History and Culture and Bilateral Relations between Indonesia and Ethiopia" describes the role of Ethiopia in Islamic history, including the development and current situation of the Muslim community in Ethiopia.
