Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan discussed Indonesia`s efforts in developing rural areas during a meeting with the Netherland`s Queen Maxima during the World Economic Forum held in Davos, Switzerland on Wednesday, January 24th. In a press release received by Antara News Agency  on Thursday (January 25th) Queen  Maxima, as the United Nations Secretary-General`s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development, explained the importance of global inclusive finance, including in handling poverty in rural areas.

She also pointed out that the visions written in the Sustainable Development Goals -SDGs are related to one another. In response, Minister Luhut Pandjaitan stated that the Indonesian government is currently prioritizing the government funds for the development of rural areas in a bid to reduce the poverty rate.
