As many as 59 countries banned Indonesian citizens from entering their territory for fear of transmitting Covid-19. Regions, especially those with the status of the red zone, should implement Large-Scale Social Restriction (PSBB) as practiced by Jakarta.

Member of Commission IX DPR RI, Saleh Partaonan Daulay said people's mobility must be strictly regulated and limited given the high status of confirmed Covid-19.

"Jakarta government's policy could be applied in other areas," he said in a press statement on Thursday.

Saleh, who is also the Acting Chair of the National Mandate Party Faction of the Indonesian Parliament, appealed to other regions to also implement total PSBB due to fear of Covid-19 transmission between regions.

"It is time to make sure there is no transmission from one area to another," he added.

"Indonesia is being monitored internationally and 59 countries have prohibited us from visiting. We have to restore conditions back to normal," he said. (RRI)
