Voinews, Jakarta - To improve the quality of public services, the Ministry of Transportation of Directorate General of Transportation carries out the activity "Dissemination of Public Service Documentation and Technical Guidance for Management of Public Service Documentation" including the use of the microsite on the Hubla portal for documentation and publication of performance achievements. This aims to increase transparency and accessibility of information for the public.

The event, which was held online and offline in Jakarta on 20 - 23 February, was opened by the Secretary of the Directorate General of Sea Transportation, Lollan Andy Sutomo Panjaitan, who in his speech emphasized the importance of ensuring that public services are carried out in accordance with the provisions of applicable laws and regulations.

"We all realize that quality public services are an integral part of our duties and responsibilities in supporting the development of the maritime transportation sector," said Lollan.

According to a release received by Voice of Indonesia on Wednesday (21/02/24), to increase transparency and accountability, Lollan highlighted the important role of microsites in disseminating performance achievements, such as community satisfaction survey results. It is hoped that this will make it easier for the public to access information about sea transportation.

Lollan also underlined the importance of documentation in assessing the success of public service implementation. Evaluation of monitoring of public service documentation reporting carried out in January 2024 provides a valuable picture for all parties.

"We all agree that good public service is an important part of our duties and responsibilities in advancing the maritime transportation sector," he said.

For your information, this event was attended by representatives from public service delivery units within the Directorate General of Public Relations, totaling 302 (three hundred and two) consisting of 6 (six) head office work units and 296 (two hundred and ninety six) technical implementation units (UPT). .

"The duties and responsibilities as a public service delivery unit have been clearly regulated, and we have actually carried them out in the implementation of services in the maritime transportation sector," stressed Lollan.

Therefore, through the "Dissemination of Public Service Documentation" program, the Secretariat of the Directorate General of Sea Transportation aims to improve the quality of public services, one of which is by implementing documentation via a microsite on the Hubla portal.

In addition to the Dissemination of Public Service Documentation, in order to provide knowledge and guidance in the implementation of public service documentation, the Secretariat of the Directorate General of Sea Transportation through the Organization and Public Relations Section also carries out Technical Guidance on the Management of Public Service Documentation in stages to all public service delivery units.

"It is hoped that through the Dissemination of Public Service Documentation activities and Technical Guidance for Public Service Documentation Management, we will all get complete information and knowledge about public services, so that we can contribute positively to improving the quality of public services in the field of sea transportation," said Lollan.

The event "Dissemination of Public Service Documentation and Technical Guidance for Management of Public Service Documentation" is expected to be a significant first step in efforts to improve the quality of public services in the maritime transportation sector.
