Governor of Kandal, Mao Phiron received a courtesy call from the Indonesian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Cambodia, Sudirman Haseng at the Governor's Office on last Tuesday (17/7). During the visit, Governor Mao Phiron said that Indonesia and Cambodia have had very close relations since logn time ago. He also wanted the best exchange of information and experience on decentralization policy because Indonesia has already implemented this policy. Governor Phiron also appreciated Indonesia's important role in the peace process in Cambodia, and explained the development of the current condition of Cambodian society as the current government policy guarantees the rights and freedom of religion. The governor also revealed various advances in infrastructure that sustain Cambodia's connectivity and economy. Meanwhile, Indonesia Ambassador, Sudirman Haseng said the cooperation between Indonesia and Cambodia is closely intertwined, both in the bilateral and regional context in ASEAN. To enhance investment, trade, and tourism cooperation, the Ambassador also invited the Governor and his staff to attend the Indonesian Trade and Tourism Promotion in Phnom Penh on September 28-30, and participate in Trade Expo Indonesia in Indonesia in October. He also emphasized the importance of people-to-people contacts in a bid to improve bilateral relations in various fields.

Fifty-one Indonesian students who are members of the United Nations Model from the University of Indonesia, Padjadjaran University, Brawijaya University, and the Djarum Foundation delegations have participated in the 24th Asia-Pacific Model United Nations Conference held at the University of New South Wales, Sydney on July 8-13. In this activity, Indonesian delegates from University of Indonesia were awarded the Best Delegates, while the Djarum Foundation delegates won Best Delegate with English as a Second Language. The Asia-Pacific Model United Nations is the largest annual United Nations Model Conference in the Asia-Pacific region. In this conference, the participants from various countries and international organizations held discussion, debate, and developed resolutions on international issues.

Along with the growing number of foreign tourists in Peru over the last 4 years, the increased number was 4 million people in the 2014-2017 from 3.2 million. The investment in the hotel sector has also increased through the opening of new hotels in Peru's major tourist destinations, such as Cusco, Iquitos and Lima. Observing the opportunity, Indonesian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Lima, Marina Estella Anwar Bey had the opportunity to meet with Luigi Mottura Pelosi, the owner of the hotel supplier business needs under the brand "Todo Para Hoteles Peru", recently. The company is a partner of a number of major hotels in Peru. Indonesian Ambassador Marina introduced products from Indonesia that could be substitutes or complementary products sold by Todo Para Hoteles. In addition, Indonesia also has products, such as soap, shampoo, and cream softener which are environmentally friendly and international standard. So far, Peru has widely imported such products from Italy or France.
