Corridor in two-storey tower of Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) collapsed on Monday (15/1/2018) at 12.00WIB. The ceiling collapsed and then hit the hall.

Isa Almawadi one of the journalists who were at the scene when the incident said, when the incident happened, himself with 5-6 reporters are in the press room. He heard a rumble.

  "My position is in the press room on the 1st floor. Our position is in the middle. We hear like a wall collapsed. Suddenly  5-6 people straight out and see a rather thick dust from the two tower lobbies. We were asked out of by the building, "told Isa to Radio Republik Indonesia, Monday (15/1/2018).

He said due to the incident, there were some injured mainly from students who were visiting the BEI. The evacuation process is still ongoing. The evacuation process was slightly hampered because the ambulance fleet deployed was inadequate. Eventually the victim was evacuated by taxi. The cause of the fall of the hall is still under investigation. (Sgd / AA)
