President Joko Widodo and King Salman held a bilateral meeting at the King's Private Palace (Al-Qasr Al-Khas), Sunday (14/4). In the meeting which took place after the luncheon, President Jokowi and King Salman agreed to increase cooperation in the economic field.
"President Jokowi and King Salman agreed in the future, economic cooperation will continue to be improved, especially in the fields of energy and tourism," said Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi after the meeting.
In the meeting, President Jokowi also expressed his appreciation from all Indonesians for the provision of an additional quota of 10,000 for Indonesian Hajj Pilgrims. "King Salman also expressed his high appreciation for Indonesia's leadership in maintaining the stability of the region and the world," Retno said.
Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi who accompanied President Jokowi at the bilateral meeting said that King Salman also appreciated Indonesia for its leadership in the Islamic world. "From the discussion, there was a very close relationship between the two heads of state," Retno said. (biro pers )
