President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) today, Friday (31/5), suddenly visited Pasar Senen Station, Jakarta to inspect the situation of Lebaran 1440 H. homecoming.

"Yes, seeing this economic train from Senen goes to Madiun. We want to check. "It's normal, full but not as dense as I imagined," the President said when giving information to journalists after the review.

Arriving at Pasar Senen Station at around 16.00 WIB, the President immediately greeted the people who were about to go home to go to the width of the village. The community immediately welcomed the arrival of the Head of State with enthusiasm. Not a few of them approached to shake hands and take pictures with the President.

The president then continues the review by walking towards the Senen Station platform. The Head of State then checks the Brantas Train, which runs the Pasar Senen Jakarta - Blitar East Java route on line 3.

"Yes, this is not all to Madiun. There are those who go down in Solo, some are down in Semarang, some are down in Cirebon, "the President continued.

The President believes that the management of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI), Indonesia Train, has been very prepared in facing this year's Lebaran homecoming. According to him, for this year the number of travelers has increased by around four percent from last year.

"I think the number (increase) is normal," he said.

The Head of State also advised the travelers to remain cautious while on the trip to be able to stay in touch and spread in their respective hometowns.

"Yes, be careful in your hometown. Please expand, stay in touch with all your family and friends, come back again and we work all of them, "he concluded.

During the inspection at Pasar Senen Station, the President was accompanied by Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung and Operation Manager I of  PT KAI Dadan Rusdyansah. (BPMI / EN)
