Abyan Aqila finished first in the fourth round of Gokart Eshark Rok Cup National Championship at Sentul Karting International Circuit on Sunday (26/06). The 8-year old racer was also the fastest in the Entry Level. Therefore, he got the Double Winner title for Podium 1 and Fastest of the Day.

Abyan will join an international go kart championship at South Garda Karting, Italy for one month. He wants to be the entry level national champion to be held in the next two rounds in August and September.

Indonesia seized one victory title in the Nantes International Challenge 2022 after mixed double pair Amri Syahnawi/Winny Oktavina Kandow defeated the pair from Thailand Ratchapol Makkasasithorn/Jhenica Sudjaipraparat in the final with score 21-15 and 21-18 on Sunday (26/06).

In the first game, Amri/Winny received a strong fight from Ratchapol/Jhenicha, and ending the game with 21-15. Then in the second game, Amri/Winny dominated the second game. They locked the victory in the second game with scores 21-18.

This is the third victory for mixed-double pair Amri Syahnawi/Winny Oktavina Kandow in the last three weeks in Europe. Previously, they won in Lithuania International Challenge 2022 and Bonn International Challenge 2022.

Gladies Lariesa Garina is the only Indonesian athlete to join the 19th FINA World Championship Budapest 2022 that has taken place from June 17 to July 3, 2022. The athlete from East Java joins the women's 1 meter category and 3 meter category against athletes from 47 countries. Gladies will also be the youngest athlete to join the event.

Gladies debuted in National Sports Week Papua 2021 and won gold in three categories namely women's 1 meter, women's tower, and women's 3 meter. Then Gladies finished in the top 10 of the FINA Diving Grand Prix 2019 Malaysia.

President Director of PT Liga Indonesia Baru, Akhmad Hadian Lukita said on Thursday (30/6) that the company is considering to open the Liga 1 2022-2023 quicker on July 23. The earlier kick off is considered that the existing schedule on July 27 is on Wednesday or weekday, while 23 July is weekend. 

Akhmad Hadina Lukita ensured the kick off decision was also based on discussion with clubs. Realized or not, the company will wait for further coordination with the police.

If the competition kicks off sooner, some clubs will have shorter resting time. This is because the pre-season of President's Cup 2022 will end on July 17.

Madrasah Ibtidaiah Negeri -MIN 1 Pekanbaru student, Chania Alifia Zahra won a gold medal at the Asia Pacific Shitoryu Karate Foundation (APSKF) Virtual Competition in Kazakhstan, which was held from November 6-8, 2020.

Chania won 1st place in the 8-9 year old class. Indonesian male lifter, Rizky Juniansyah, who appeared in the 73-kg class, won three gold medals at the 2020 Virtual Youth Weightlifting World Championship held from Lima, Peru, Sunday (Nov 15) Western Indonesia Time. The three gold medals were obtained after Rizky managed to record a total force of 325 kg with details of snatch 145 and clean and jerk 180 kg.

Besides winning three gold medals, the 16-year-old lifter has also successfully surpassed the three youth world records in his own name that he won at the 2020 World Junior and Youth Championships in Uzbekistan last February. The world records for teenagers that Rizky managed to break are snatch force from 139 kg to 145 kg, clean and jerk weighing 180 kg or exceeding the world youth record standard, namely 171 kg, and total force from 307 kg to 325 kg.

President Joko Widodo emphasized that Indonesia's candidacy to host the 2032 Olympics was not to be "dashing", but to raise the nation's image and dignity. This was stated by the President in a virtual limited meeting regarding Indonesia's plan to host the 2032 Olympics at the State Palace in Jakarta, Wednesday (4/11).

The President instructed his staff to prepare sports infrastructure, improve coaching for athletes, global visibility for Indonesia regarding potential hosts for the 2032 Olympics, and so forth. According to President Joko Widodo, the Asian Games and Asian Para Games in 2018 have been successfully held by Indonesia. This opens up the confidence and eyes of the world that Indonesia is capable of being a good host in international events. To host the 2032 Olympics, Indonesia is expected to compete with Australia, Germany, Korea Unification, Qatar, and China. The selection process for the 2032 Olympics will be held in 2023 and the results are determined in 2024.

The Indonesian e-sports team Bigetron Red Aliens (BTR) is determined to become world champion again at the PUBG Mobile Global Championship Season Zero (PMGC) which will be held online at the end of November. The Executive Board of the Indonesian Fitness Bodybuilding Association (PP PBFI) announced that Indonesia will host the 2021 World Fitness Bodybuilding Championship. Secretary General of PP PBFI, Inge Inkiriwang in Jakarta, Tuesday, as quoted by Detiksport said, confirmation of hosting the World Championship was received after the general chairman PBFI, Irwan Alwi received a direct call from the President of the International Fitness Bodybuilding Federation (WBPF), Datok Paul Chua, who approved Indonesia to host the 2021 World Fitness Bodybuilding Championship.

Minister of Youth and Sports, Zainudin Amali asked stakeholders regarding the planning of organizing recreational sports for 2021 to be completed and agreed upon by the end of this year. This was stated by Minister Zainudin Amali in a stakeholder coordination meeting of recreational sports organizers, which was held virtually in Jakarta, Monday (26/10). In a written statement quoted by Antara in Jakarta on Tuesday (27/1), he said that recreational sports must be prepared to support sports tourism, because this has become the theme of the National Sports Day and has been followed up by the MoU with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.

Minister Zainudin Amali further explained that the plan must refer to the 37th National Sports Day theme, namely sport tourism. Sport tourism, according to Minister Amali, must be improved and developed because it is believed to be able to increase the bargaining power of Indonesian tourism in the global market industry. Through the sport tourism, it can also provide a multiplier effect or multiple economic impacts by utilizing and developing natural potential and the creative economy.

The Indonesian basketball national team will continue the second round match of the International Basketball Federation -FIBA Asia Cup 2021 Qualification in Manama, Bahrain in November.
