North Korea's leader Kim Jong Un sent a congratulatory letter to Xi Jinping on his reelection as China's leader, saying he hoped to further develop their ties, state news agency KCNA reported on Sunday.

"The 20th Congress of the CPC offered a significant landmark for the Chinese party and people in propelling the historic process of the Chinese nation's great prosperity under the banner of the socialist idea with the Chinese characteristics in the new era," Kim said in the letter.

"I, together with you, will shape more a beautiful future of the DPRK-China relations meeting the demand of the times and lead the endeavours for its realisation so as to continue to powerfully propel the socialist cause in the two countries."

DPRK stands for the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, North Korea's official name.

China's Xi Jinping secured a precedent-breaking third leadership term on Sunday and introduced a new top governing body stacked with loyalists, cementing his place as the country's most powerful ruler since Mao Zedong. (Reuters)

The Ministry of Communication and Information said that in the current digital era, there are many changes. One of them is in the field of broadcasting.

"So in 10 days analog television broadcasts will be turned off. Get ready to switch to digital broadcasting," said the Special Staff of the Minister of Communication and Information, Rosarita Niken Widiastuti, during the Nusantara Student Festival, Sunday (23/10/2022).

So for those whose televisions are still analog, just add a tool. The tool is called a set top box.

“Just add a set top box. And that must be certified by Kominfo," she said.

As mandated by Article 60A of Law no. 32 of 2002 concerning Broadcasting through Law no. 11 of 2020. Namely concerning Job Creation, that the implementation of the termination of terrestrial analog television broadcasts.

Otherwise known as Analog Switch Off (ASO) nationally, it will be implemented no later than November 2, 2022. TV broadcasts will then switch to Digital TV broadcasting systems. (RRI)

Foreign delegates and journalists participating in the G20 Bali on November 15-16 can take advantage of the visa-free facility. This was conveyed by the Head of the Class I Immigration Office for TPI Soekarno Hatta, Muhamad Tito Adrianto.

According to Tito, this is a form of support for the agenda of the G20 Summit in Bali. Therefore, the G20 delegation and journalists covering the G20 Summit do not need to prepare visas.

"Soekarno Hatta Immigration Office has prepared a special visa-free counter for G20 delegates and journalists. To support this policy, BVK (Free Visit Visa, ed) entry permits will be given directly at the Immigration Checkpoint," Tito told RRI, Sunday (23/10/2022).

"This provision applies according to the Letter of the Directorate General of Immigration Number IMI-GR.01.01-0738 concerning Immigration Check Support for Foreign Delegates and Foreign Journalists of the G20 Presidency," he said.

Even though it is visa-free, said Tito, immigration checks will still be carried out according to the rules. One of them is the delegates and journalists provide passports that are still active.

Head of the Division of Immigration Checkpoints for Class I Special TPI Soekarno Hatta Verico Sandi stated that he had made several preparations. Among them are preparing officers and mobile device units for the Immigration Crossing Application (APK). This application is specifically for conducting immigration checks on G20 delegates and journalists, and a VVIP lounge for ministerial-level delegates.

"Then, a special lounge with Border Control Management (BCM, ed) integrated with Customs and KKP at Gate 1 International Arrivals for delegates under the minister, as well as a special G20 counter in the Immigration area for delegates and journalists," he said. (RRI)

Foreign journalists are still required to carry a valid passport even though it is facilitated by visa-free. This was conveyed by Muhammad Tito Adrianto, Head of the Class I Immigration Office for TPI Soekarno Hatta.

According to him, this provision is given for coverage of the G20 Presidency in Bali in November. The 17th G20 Summit is planned to be held in Bali on 15-16 November 2022.

"Indeed, not only delegates, but foreign journalists are also visa-free with certain conditions," Tito told RRI, Sunday (23/10/2022).

"First, a valid and still valid passport and a return ticket or a canal ticket to continue the journey to another country," he said.

Then, he continued, proof of registration or invitation letter of foreign journalists or delegates of the 2022 G20 Indonesia Presidency. The evidence was submitted upon arrival at the Soekarno Hatta or Ngurah Rai Immigration Office, Bali, on November 1-18.

"Soekarno Hatta's Immigration Office has prepared a special visa-free counter for G20 delegates and journalists," he said. (RRI)
