The Indonesian Embassy in Beirut has acknowledged its continued support for trade cooperation improvement between Indonesia and Lebanon. Indonesian Ambassador to Lebanon Hajriyanto Y Thohari gave the Primaduta Award to Lebanese businessman and importer, George R Fattouh. The award was given for his service in helping market Indonesian products in Paris from the Middle East. The award was given at a ceremony at the Indonesian Embassy in Beirut, Thursday (11/1) Fatough, is the owner of George R. Fattouh S.A.L, a business that has been importing Indonesian products since the 1980s. It has a range of products, including: palm oil and its derivatives, oil and fats (including cocoa butter substitute, fat spread, hydrogenated palm kernel oil, and lauric confectionery fats), cardboard, stationary, and school equipment. Some Indonesian products are now even available at famous retail networks, such as Spinney’s and Carrefour. In 2022, the value imported by George R. Fattough S.A.L of Indonesian products, was 981.3 million USD. This was a 149.5 million USD increase when compared to 2021. Fattouh said Indonesian products are known for their quality and are in high demand in Lebanese markets. However, he said, the challenge now is increasing freight costs due to security challenges in the region.

Kusumo Kuntonugroho with Laily Annisa Kusumastuti which was held on January 10, 2024.Head of the Customs and Accommodation Division, Dhaup Ageng Pura Pakualaman, KRT Radyo Wisroyo said that the menu served to guests was quite varied. These menus are typical menus prepared by Pakualaman Pura, Indonesian menus and western food menus were also available. All invited guests including VIP and VVIP guests got the same menu. The first menu served to welcome guests, namely two types of welcome drink, namely lime lemongrass and ginger drink with lime. The welcome drink was given when guests sat down and watched the Bedhaya Sidamukti and Bedhaya Kakung Indrawidagda dance performances. Next, they gotsnacks for appetizer such as croquettes and other light snacks. There is a snack that is considered quite special and rare called Garulina. Garulina was the opening snack at the Pahargyan Dhaup Ageng Pakualaman lunch on the first day. Garulina has been around since the era before Indonesian independence. Garulina is actually not a typical Central Javanese food. It looks like the Lapis Legit layered cake, but there is something different, because there is a special layer like vla which is made from fresh milk, eggs and sugar. To get this sweet snack, Pakulaman Temple has to place a special order from the third generation of makers who have been pioneering since the 1950s. In Jogja, Garulina is very difficult to find and is considered rare because it is not sold every day.

The theme of the festival is "Visit Wonderful Indonesia: Explore our Regions". This activity is the event of trade promotion, investment, tourism, cultural art, and as a part of economic diplomacy of Indonesia in Russia. The festival initiated by Indonesian Embassy in Moscow presents the exhibition of Indonesian excellent products from some regions, such as coffe, garment, accessories, palm oil, culinary, and craft which are spreading 85 booths. Festival Indonesia also presents various art and cultural performances from the regions such as songs, dances, and musical instrument show both on the main stage and other separated stages. Indonesian Ambassador to Russia and Belarus, M Wahid Supriyadi said that the Festival is more specially arranged, such as wider location than the previous festival, and there are special paviliuns of Indonesian regions. On this festival, the visitors can the miniature of Indonesia. The Festival which is from August 3rd until August 5th begins at 12 a.m until 9 p.m. It is art and cultural performance, but we also create such market there. It is different from the previous year which was divided into regions; we don’t make it into clusters. For instance, there are Batik, fashion, handycraft, culinary, and it lasts until 9 p.m, saidWahid Supriyadi. Indonesian Festival in Moscow begins with Business Forum of Indonesia-Rusia and business matching on August 2nd in the World Trade Center. Besides the Governor, Deputy Governor, Regent, and a number of officials of Indonesia, Head of National Development Planning Agency, Bambang P.S. Brodjonegoro attended the Business Forum. The Forum might be attended by about 500 entrepreneurs, both from Rusia and Indonesia.The supporting tourism infrastructure is the main focus in the Forum. Nevertheless, other sectors are also going to be discussed in the forum, such as energy, industry, inter-connectivity, and palm oil.
Indonesian Ambassador to Canada, Teuku Faizasyah and Vice Chairman of the Creative Economy Agency, Ricky Joseph Pesik encouraged Canadian creative economy actors to invest in Indonesia through the establishment of the 2018 Investment Forum in Montreal on Tuesday (31st of July 2018). During his opening speech, Ambassador Faizasyah stated that the Indonesian creative economy is currently one of the supporting motors for the national economic growth. Member of the Montreal Executive Committee of Economy and Trade, Robert Beaudry appreciated the consistency of the Indonesian Embassy which routinely holds investment forum every year as a platform to strengthen the economic relationship between Indonesia and Canada. Robert Beaudry viewed the theme “Opportunities in the Creative Economy in Indonesia” as the right choice, considering the creative economy becomes one of the economic development sectors that is constantly empowered by the government of Canada. Before 24 Canadian businesspeople, both those who are involved in the creative economy industry and those who wish to invest in Indonesia, Ricky Joseph Pesik explained that the government of Indonesia has developed 16 sub-sectors of economy with three main sub- sectors namely culinary, high fashion, and handicrafts. The three main sub-sectors contribute 77.6% to the national creative economy. On the occasion, Ricky called for Canadian creative economy actors to attend the World Conference on Creative Economy to be held by the Government of Indonesia in Bali on 6th-8th November.
Qatar is going to invest $ 500 million dollars for the development of tourism sector in Indonesia, particularly for the 5 prioritized tourism destinations. Antara News Agency reported that the commitment is reflected in the signing of cooperation agreement signed by CEO of the Qatar Investment Authority, Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Saud Al-Thani and Coordinating Minister of Maritime Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan in Jakarta on Wednesday (August the 1st 2018). Minister Luhut Pandjaitan explained that the Qatar Investment Authority wants to invest in the establishment of hotels and the development of airports. The Qatar Investment Industry also wants to take part in the investment of the 10 new tourism destinations. However, the government of Indonesia suggested the Qatar Investment Authority to firstly start investing in the 5 destinations. The five tourism destinations are Lake Toba, Banyuwangi, Labuan Bajo, Borobudur, and Mandalika. Minister Luhut also pointed out that besides the commitment of investment in the tourism sector, Qatar also wants to invest in the agriculture and fishery sectors in Central Kalimantan. In addition, Qatar wishes to commence direct flight service from Banda Aceh and establish aquaculture in Sabang.
Ending her work trip in Iran, Minister of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection, Yohana held a meeting with several senior officials of Iran, including Minister of Justice, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Adviser of Vice President for Citizens’ Rights on Wednesday (August the 1st 2018). Three institutions of Iran: Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Labor and Ministry of Social Affairs and Special Advisory Board of Iran’s President appreciated and supported the implementation of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) about child protection, women’s empowerment, and family integration. The range of meeting agenda ended as Minister Yohana met Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Iran, Ali Rabiei. Minister Yohana appreciated the government of Iran regarding with the establishment of genetics hotline and counseling. The primary focuses of the two parties are to establish women empowerment as the head of family or the main worker of family as well as protection for children and women from any violence, including violence in digital media.

Diplomatic relation between Indonesia and Japan which has taken place for 60 years was celebrated in Hibiya Park, Tokyo on Sunday morning (29/7) at Festival Indonesia 2018. As quoted by Antara News Agency, the commemoration of the two countries’ relation which has been established since 20th January 1958 as held on Saturday (28/7). However, it was opened on Sunday because of Taifun disaster on Saturday. Indonesian Ambassador to Japan, Arifin Tasrif at the opening ceremony said that the 60th diplomatic relation between Indonesia and Japan has grown well. He hoped that the future relation will improve more and bring about better cooperation and benefit for Indonesia. There were many performances of arts and Indonesian culture at the festival. Besides, there was also Jaipong dance collaboration coming from West Java with Taiko as Japanese traditional art. The Indonesian festive held at the park is beside the Japanese emperor palace. It was also enlivened by stands from a lot of ministries, regional governments and banking which performed several cultures and potential of Indonesia. Ambassador Arifin Tasrif also said at the agenda, the embassy of Indonesia in Japan tried to bring delegates such as from Sumatera and Papua to introduce Indonesian culture to visitors, especially Japan citizens.

Bimo Adityarahman Wiraputra from Bandung Technology of Institute –ITB succeeded to grab gold medal at the 25th International Math Competition in Bulgaria. The competition held on 22 up to 28 at American University in Bulgaria Blagoevgrad was followed by 351 participants from 50 countries. First Secretary of Information, Social and Culture of Indonesian embassy in Sofia, Nurul Sofia to Antara News Agency said that besides having gold shoes, Indonesian delegate team under the Ministry of Research Technology and High Education also achieved one silver by Rio Fandi Dianco from University of Indonesia. The bronze medals were grabbed by Alzimna Badril Umam and Adryan Wiradinata from University of Gadjah Mada, as well as Hopein Christofen Tang from Bandung Institute of Technology. Other Indonesian delegates who got award of Honorable Mention are Sie Evan Setiawan from Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology , Laurence Petrus Wijaya and Mochamad Zulfikar Aditya from Bandung Institute of Technology, Resita Sri Wahyuni from University of Gadjah Mada. Indonesian Ambassador to Sofia, Sri Astari Rasjid met Indonesian team in Blagoevgrad to give spirit in order to achieve the best. The International Math Competition in Bulgaria was for universities students under 23 years. The achievement got by the Indonesian universities students proves that Indonesian university students are excellent in the world.

Jakarta City administration cooperated with Morocco embassy to perform concert of two musicians of Indonesia-Morocco at Balai Agung, Balaikota in Jakarta on Sunday evening (29/7) . Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan attended the event and enjoyed the performance of the musicians of Morocco form Casablanca city, Hadj Younes who was duet with one of Indonesian composers and pianists, Dwiki Dharmawan to play collaborative music rhythm, but they kept using their own musical characteristic. Governor Anies Baswedan hoped through the concert, stronger relation can be built between Jakarta and Morocco, especially in promoting musical culture of each country .The bilateral cooperation between Indonesia-Morocco has been established since 1960. Through strong relation, the friendship and cooperation between Jakarta and Morocco had been materialized in 1991 by signing Memorandum of Understanding of sister city between Jakarta and Casablanca in many fields, such as expert exchange in city development, trade, tourism, culture and art, youths and sports.

Adolf Hitler became head of German State with the title ‘Führer’. He was German chancellor in 1933 and leader of Germany since 1934 until he died on April 30, 1945. On August 2, 1934, Hitler became dictator of Germany after President Von Hindenburg passed away. Hitler united position of chancellor and president to be Führer or leader and also made National-Socialist Party which was known with the name ‘Nazi’ as single party in Germany. Nazi was officially dismissed after Germany was defeated in the World War II.
The next event was in 1985, when Delta Airlines flight 191 crashed.
Delta Air Lines Flight 191 was a regularly scheduled Delta Air Lines domestic service from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Los Angeles with an intermediate stop at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). On August 2, 1985, the Lockheed L-1011 TriStar operating Flight 191 encountered a microburst while on approach to land at DFW. The aircraft struck the ground over a mile short of the runway, struck a car near the airport, and then collided with two water tanks and disintegrated. The crash killed 137 people and injured 28 others. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) determined that the crash resulted from the flight crew's decision to fly through a thunderstorm, the lack of procedures or training to avoid or escape microbursts, and the lack of hazard information on wind shear.
And the last event is that in 1990, Iraq invaded Kuwait.
On August 2, 1990, Iraqi soldiers invaded Kuwait. The invasion was the second Iraqi invasion after earlier in 1980 to attack Iran. Regime of Saddam Husein always declared that Kuwait territory was the 19th province of Iraq. The invasion to Kuwait aimed to take over wealth of oil of Kuwait and therefore, regime of Saddam hoped to be able to become leader of Arabic world. But the invasion got negative reaction from International world. The international world and the United Nations condemned the Iraqi invasion and ordered Iraq to get out from Kuwait. Thus, a number of countries led by the United States sent their forces to Persia Peninsula to drive away Iraq. Because of the attack of allies, on February 28, 1991, Iraq ended its invasion in Kuwait.

The government of Banda Aceh city through Youth and Sport Office held training of youths of anti-drugs generation. The event was opened by Banda Aceh Mayor, Aminullah Usman in Banda Aceh on Wednesday (1/7). The training was participated in by 90 youths of representatives of 90 Gampong in Banda Aceh. When opening the event, Mayor Aminullah said that the role of people in eradicating drugs abuse in Banda Aceh and Aceh in general is really needed. He also explained that although the circulation of the drugs is not as many as other cities in Indonesia, Mayor Aminullah asks for Banda Aceh people to keep being alert. The training is hoped to be able to increase knowledge about the danger of drugs abuse. With the training, hopefully youth awareness on the danger of the drugs will increase and have desire to socialize to Gampong-gampong. Head of the National Anti-Narcotics Agency of Aceh, Brigadier General Faisal AN who attended the event, also called for the youths to be activists in fighting the drugs.
Various efforts are conducted by the regional government, including researcher of college to preserve wealth of regional culture, such as batik motif of Minang which is currently attracting consumers from outside of West Sumatera. The researcher of the Minang motif of Andalas University, Toti Srimulyati said to RRI on Wednesday (1/8/2018) that West Sumatera has wealth of resources which is unique. This is shown from various decorations of Rumah Gadang and another Songket. Andalas University has conducted research, and learned more since 2016 by inviting partners, the batik entrepreneurs of the region. Toti Srimulyati hoped that Minang motif is entrenched in West Sumatera and to socialize early, on August 30, selection of Batik Minang Youths will be held by targeting students of colleges in West Sumatera. Besides selection of the Best Batik Minang Youths, a training of Batik Minang with number of 20 participants is also carried out. From the event, it’s hoped to create Batik craftsmen who are with their persistence to be able to produce the best works of the regional Youths. Coaching is also conducted to Batik craftsmen who previously pursued Batik business with the hope, someday the products of micro, small and medium entrepreneurship will be able to penetrate international market.

Library and Archives Office of Yogyakarta invited Chattra Kebaya community to launch new service of ALEKSA (There is Yogyakarta local collection). Acting Head of the Office, Wahyu Hendratmoko in the ALEKSA launching said in Yogyakarta on Wednesday (1/8) that the service is innovation at the library of Yogyakarta which presents library’s collection with Yogyakarta nuance. This is in line with the duty of the library to support the implementation of the center of local culture so that it will encourage the love of people on local culture. Wahyu added that over the last two, ALEKSA’s innovation has attracted attention of many parties. In addition to being exposed by many mass media, ALEKSA also succeeded to get support from the community. Meanwhile, Project leader of Aleksa in Yogyakarta, Ismawati Retno said after launching ALEKSA service that the service is innovation as sub-service of management of library’s collection containing Jogja in Yogyakarta. Ismawati Retno also explained that there are more than 300 book collections containing jogja. All of them are related to traditional culture, popular, regional potential, history, tourism, city’s architecture, literature, study of art culture and also result of Yogyakarta development from time to time and all information about Yogyakarta. In the future, her office plans to expand a number of collections through cooperation of all organizations of regional government in Yogyakarta. Later on if there is publication of the book about Yogyakarta, this can be granted. ALEKSA will also serve information about ancient script so that it is easier for people to know the ancient scripts of Yogyakarta Kingdom.

The first information comes from Lisbon. Indonesia successfully maintained the accomplishment of gold medal at the 2018 International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) held in Lisbon, Portugal on July the 28th 2018. Indonesia won one gold medal, one silver and three bronze medals at the competition. Therefore, all delegates from Indonesia gained the medals. Johanes Suhardjo from Frateran Surabaya Christian High School won the gold medal. The silver medal was attained by Jason Jovi Brata from BPK Penabur I Christian Senior High School. Meanwhile, the bronze medals were obtained by Ahmad Aufar Thoriq from Semesta BBS Senior High School Semarang, Bryant Juspi from Darma Yudha Senior High School Pekanbaru, and Raditya Adhidarma Nugraha from State Senior High School One Yogyakarta. The International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) or also known as an International Olympiad on the subject of Physics was held from 21st-29th July 2018. High school students from 87 countries competed to achieve the highest score in the exam held by the committee of the International Physics Olympiad.
The second information is from Cairo. Indonesian Ambassador to Egypt, Helmy Fauzi received the 2018 Education and Culture Award in Cairo on Tuesday (31st of July, 2018) at local time. Ambassador Helmy Fauzi was thought to have contributed for the development of education and culture in Egypt. The awarding ceremony was carried out by the Egyptian-Arab American Academy -EAAA. Besides Ambassador Helmy Fauzi, some other prominent figures who also received the awards are spokesperson of the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Research, Abdul Gafar, President of the Egyptian Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, Mahmud Shaqr, President of the Egyptian Council for Innovation and Technology, Jehan Farhat, and President of the Egyptian Parliament’s Education, Husin Ashmawi. President of the Egyptian-Arab American Academy, Samrah Abadzah told that the awards were given to appreciate the contributions of both International and national figures in their attempt to advance the field of education and culture in Egypt. Ambassador Helmy Fauzi also explained that the cooperation of education and culture is one of the important sectors in the diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Egypt, especially since the relations of Indonesia and Egypt have been established for more than 71 years. The government of Indonesia keeps developing the cooperation between Indonesia and Egypt in various fields in a bid to increase the prosperity of society in both countries.
The last information of Diplomatic Corner is from Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia encouraged the Micro, Small, and Medium Business Enterprises -UMKM of East Nusa Tenggara Province –NTT to expand the marketing of their products into the ASEAN market through digital economy. Directorate General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for ASEAN Cooperation, the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Business Enterprises, and the Provincial Government of NTT held an event to deliver suggestions about the policy and technical guidance with the theme “The Utilization of Digital Economy to Support the Small and Medium Business Enterprises for the ASEAN Economic Community” at Fernandez Hall, in NTT on Wednesday (August the 1st 2018). The event was aimed at supporting 40 Small and Business Enterprises of NTT in utilizing mobile technology to distribute their products in the ASEAN market. The technical guidance was organized by Shopee Indonesia, the first mobile-based start-up company in Southeast Asian countries such as Indonesia, The Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Taiwan offering e-commerce services via mobile phone. In the technical guidance, Shopee Indonesia gave tutorial how to create product illustrations which are visually attractive and commercially valuable and how to use online market place application to develop their businesses. The potential of Small and Medium Business Enterprises in NTT is abundant and distinctive, including cows, kelor leaves, weave, fishery, handicrafts, honey, coffee, and many others.
Today in History-over RRI World Service –Voice of Indonesia. We start from an event on 28th July 1976 about Tremendous Earthquake Hit Northern China.
Tremendous earthquake rocked China in the morning around 03.45 am precisely in Tangshan, a city located in the northern part of Beijing. The city was stricken by a 7.8 magnitude earthquake. The earthquake that only lasted for 23 seconds shattered one of the mining cities in China with population more than 100 million people. Based on the record, the number of victims approximately reached up to 250.000 people.
Now, we move to the next event on 28th July 1990 that was Alberto Fujimori became the President of Peru and the third person of East Asian descendant ruling a Non-Asian country. During his period, President Alberto Fujimori successfully revived the stability of macro economy after the era of President Alan Garcia and brought peace to conflicted countries. President Fujimori was also successful in freeing dozens of hostages that were captured by a rebellious movement led by Tupac Amaru during the attack of Japanese Ambassador’s residence in Lima. Despite of his prominent contributions for the country, President Alberto Fujimaro was also criticized for being a dictatorial leader. A corruption scandal involving the Head of Peruvian Intelligence had degraded President Fujimaro’s popularity. In the end 2000, after the APEC meeting in Brunei, President Fujimaro went to Japan and resigned as the President of Peru by sending a letter of resignation via facsimile. The letter was delivered to the Embassy of Peru in Japan. However, eventually he was captured and extradited to Peru.
We end our segment -Today in History-with an event from 28th July 1995, Vietnam was accepted as the 7th member of ASEAN.
As the Cold War started to come to an end, the change of international structural system has brought about several consequences for the leaders of Vietnam to re-examine their foreign politics’ policy. The new format of Vietnam foreign politics’ policy that began to be more adaptive for its neighborhood countries was characterized by series of actions and plans supporting the member countries of Association of South East Asian -ASEAN to terminate negative judgment about Vietnam as a threat. Vietnam realized that the new ASEAN focused on striving economic goals. As the attempt to achieve these goals, ASEAN countries firstly had to create stability instead of making demands, for instance, democratization or intervention on other countries’ affairs. The membership of Vietnam in ASEAN was purposed as a strategy to achieve the main goal of ASEAN. The goal was establishing the ASEAN-10 meaning the ASEAN that was constituted by the whole ASEAN countries.

Air Force Academy is an education school for Indonesian Air Force in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The academy’s history is started by Flight School established on November 15th 1945 by Agustinus Adisutjipto in Maguwo Airbase which is now Adisutjipto Airport Yogyakarta. In September 1947, Indonesian Air Force for the first time accepted Senior High School alumnus to be educated as the flight students. In its further development, construction of the school was built as the place to learn. Coincided with Indonesian Air Force Day on April 9th 1960, a grounbreaking ceremony of the establishmeny of Air Force Academy was held in Adisutjipto Airport.Furthermore, Air Force Academy was inaugurated by Minister of Commander of Air Force on July 26th 1965. July 26th is later on declared as the Air Force Academy’s birthday.
The next event is that in 1965, Maldives got its independence.
Maldives is an archipelagic country in Hindia Ocean. Islam is majority religion of Maldivians. In early 16th century, Maldives was colonized by Portuguese and then by Dutch, France, and in late 19th century, Maldives was ruled by England. Since 1887 until its independence on July 26th 1965, the country became the part of English guardianship. Since 1153 until 1968, the country was in the form of independent islamic sultanate. Later on, the form of sultanate government was removed and changed to be republic.
And the last event is that July 26th is International Mangrove Day.
July 26th was set as International Mangrove Day at the United Nations Conference for UNESCO in November 2015. On the conference, Ecuador suggests July 26th as International Mangrove Day because some South American countries have been commemorating the day although it was not officially set by the world organization. The countries commemorate July 26th as “Mangrove Day” to recall a Micronesian Greenpeace activist, Hayhow Daniel Nanoto who passed away on July 26th 1998 because of heart attack when he was involved in great protest action led by environment organization -FUNDECOL and International Greenpeace. During the action, the local community -Muisne joined some non-governmental organizations to dismantle shrimp ponds which were placed illegally in the effort of bringing the damaged mangrove zone back to its normal condition. FUNDECOL and other environment organizations recall Hayhow’s death in every July 26th as the commemoration for saving the mangrove.

Listener, the program of the 102nd Military Developing Village which was conducted by Kodim 0318 Natuna at Pulau Tiga district received directly the visit of Head of Army Staff, Brigadier General Agus Heru Prasetyo on Tuesday (24/7). He directly observed the implementation of Military Developing Village and also met with residents at Pulau Tiga district, the outer island of Indonesia. In the program, Pulau Tiga district received physical assistance with additional permanent path and guidance of knowledge on health. The program is cooperation between the Indonesian Army and Ministry of Health. The Ministry of Health also gave assistance, such as medicines, medical devices and vitamin for babies and children in the region. On the occasion, Brigadier General Agus reminded the local people to always have love on the country and to protect the unity of the Unitary State of Republic of Indonesia by protecting facilities which were built together. Brigadier General Agus also said that although at border area and far from the central government, it does mean that people are ignored by the government. Agus hoped that all facilities can be used and maintained together. He also appreciated the participation of the people in helping succeed the program voluntarily. In his visit, Brigadier General Agus also handed over sport equipment and grass cutting machine. He also observed social events and health checks for the community.
Regent of Sleman, Sri Purnomo received “Integrated Referral Service Award" from Ministry of Social Affairs for his innovation "N(G)Antar Paimah" or in English means Home Delivery Service. The award was handed over by Director General of Social Empowerment at the Social Affairs Ministry, PP Nazarudin in North Jakarta on Wednesday. Regent Purnomo hoped that the award becomes motivation for Sleman regency to increase service in social sector. He also said that "N(G)Antar Paimah` is innovation which gives easy service to poor and vulnerable people so that all the government’s programs can reach all communities. N(G)Antar Paimah can also be used by the residents who need transportation service for being delivered to sustainable service or delivered until home.

Kodim 0726 Sukoharjo along with Agriculture and Fishery Office of Sukoharjo regency keeps doing innovation to increase agricultural productivity. One of them to be developed is to maximize critical land of rain-fed to become integrated agricultural land. The “Pilot project” system of “integrated farming” was conducted by farmer group of Subur Mulyo, Jagan village, Bendosari district. Lieutenant Colonel Candra Aryadi Prakoso told the journalists on the sidelines rice harvest, planting rice and fish harvest at Demplot land, at Jagan village, Bendosari, on Tuesday (24/7) that finally, the system is able to produce combination product of rice, fish, chicken with livestock waste system which can be used as land fertilizer. His side hoped that the system can be imitated by farmers and other groups to increase agricultural productivity, especially at the critical land. Meanwhile, Regent of Sukoharjo, Wardoyo Wijaya said that Sukoharjo has many adopted technologies in agricultural sector. One of them is “integrated farming” by combining all agricultural components in one integrated agriculture. On the occasion, the Regent symbolically handed over assistance of agricultural machine tool from Directorate General of Agricultural Infrastructure and Facilities at the Ministry of Agriculture Affairs.

Minister of National Development Planning/Head of National Development Planning, Bambang Brodjonegoro viewed economic diplomacy to play a major role in supporting national development. He appreciated the improvement of diplomatic performances conducted by Indonesian representatives overseas. The statement was expressed before 27 participating diplomats of Foreign Staff and Leader School of the 59th Generation at Education and Training Center at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jakarta on Thursday (24/7). Minister Bambang recognized that the challenge for diplomacy is bigger internationally and domestically. Through the implementation of planning and budgeting harmonization, Minister Bambang ensured that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will create diplomatic event which can answer the challenge of the era. He shared the tips in arranging the effective planning of diplomatic event.

For one week, Gamelan rhythm was heard in the 8th Babel Sound Interactive World Music Festival in Hungary on Monday (23/7). The annual festival was conducted at tourism city of the Western Hungary, Balaton Boglar. The sound of Gamelan came from Indonesian tent and played by Gamelan Topong Bang group which is led by the Indonesian embassy of Budapest. Surprisingly, Gamelan group which consisted of 12 persons, were all Hungarians. Indonesian Ambassador to Hungary, Wening Esthyprobo said that they are Hungarians, Indonesian lovers and they do love Gamelan and Indonesian culture. Every Sunday, the group practices at the Indonesian Embassy hard and seriously so that playing of the Gamelan can be as good as original Indonesian people do. Ambassador Wening also said that for 7 days of the implementation of Babel Sound Music Festival, Indonesian tent is always full of visitors to hear Gamelan rhythm. Indonesian tent presented interactive performance with audiences such as batik workshop, workshop of puppet shadow, story-telling accompanied with Gamelan rhythm, coloring Indonesian puppet and cartoon. In addition to Gamelan, dance and interactive cultural promotion, promotion of Indonesian culture is more complete by performing Indonesia’s Reggae ambassador, Ras Muhamad on the main stage of Babel Sound Music Festival.
