Three female field tennis athletes of Indobatt Konga Task Force XXIII-L/Unifil (United Nations Interim Forces In Lebanon), promulgate Indonesia in international area on “Unifil Open Tennis Competition 2018” in South Lebanon, Sunday (27/5). The championship held annually was followed by several countries which are members of the Unifil Task Force such as Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, Nepal, India, Italy, Sri Lanka, and Serbia.  The three female Indobatt athletes won several numbers in the five-day Unifil tennis competition (22-26/5) on tennis court of Republic of South Korea Battalion-Abbasid Lebanon. In this championship, the Indobatt tennis athletes competed under the name of Garuda Unifil 2018 Contingent. Competing under the hot sun, the Garuda Contingent athletes dominated some numbers. In the women’s single, Serka (K) Meylani came out as the first champion after defeating in the final her compatriot Serda (K) Neneng Meytriana. Meanwhile, Sertu (K) Indarti B. Lestari won the third place after defeating South Korean tennis player. In Unifil Open Tennis Competition 2018, Serka (K) Meylani R. was awarded "The Best Woman Player", with a slick appearance capable of winning multiple numbers in the Unifil Open Tennis Competition 2018.

Sean Gelael’s good results on feature races at Monaco Circuit, Monaco, Friday (25/5) brought his team, that is Pertamina Prema Theodore Racing to be in the fifth standing of Formula 2. Based on data collected by media from Formula 2 official page in Jakarta, Sunday (27/5) with an additional 18 points achieved by Sean Gelael, Prema team collected 75 points or equal to the Russian Times that was in fourth position. Team standings were still controlled by Carlin team who collected 144 points, while the second position was occupied by the ART Grand Prix team with 111 points, followed by DAMS team with 93 points. Sean in his official statement said, racing in Monaco was not easy. After winning fantastic second podium results in feature race, Pertamina Prema Theodore Racing team had to accept the fact of not getting points on sprint racing on Saturday (26/5). On third lap, Sean who started from seventh position lost a bit of control causing his car to touch the kerbs that made hovering and crashing into the lane boundary. The remainder of the race continued with many dramas and incidents. Until the race ended, it was recorded that 10 riders could not finish the race because of the incidents, including young racer guided by Mercedes F1 team, George Russell. Next F2 race will take place at Le Castellet circuit, France, June 22-24. One week later, the one level race under Formula 1 will take place at the Spielberg Circuit, Austria.

Indonesia men’s badminton team finally stopped at semifinal of Thomas Cup 2018 tournament after being defeated by China 3-1. China ensured the victory in the semi-final at Impact Arena, Bangkok, Thailand, Friday (25/5) night, after couple Li Junhui/Liu Yuchen defeat Indonesia men’s pair Hendra Setiawan/Mohammad Ahsan 21-17, 18-21, 21-12. Thus, the Indonesian team could not achieve this year's championship target or even equalize the achievement as a finalist at the Thomas Cup two years ago. Nevertheless, Indonesian team could show tight resistance against China whose average player has a higher BWF rating. After losing the first party because Anthony Ginting failed to overcome Olympic champion 2016 Cheng Long, Indonesia could pursue through the victory of Kevin Sanjaya/Marcus Gideon over Liu Cheng/Zhang Nan. However, in third party, Jonathan Christie who had seized the first gym failed to overcome the resistance of China's world number three Shi Yuqi. Shi Yuqi put China ahead with victory 18-21, 21-12, 21-15. In fourth party, the experience and maturity of the pair Hendra/Ahsan expected to be able to balance  the second double of China’s number two finally ended up after recognizing the superiority of Chinese pair Li/Liu in 3 sets. The China Thomas team finally won the Thomas Cup after defeating Japan in the final session.  

Indonesia BMX cyclist, Rio Akbar became Asian champion after winning Asian BMX Championship 2018 held in Chai Nat, Thailand. Rio Akbar who was prepared for the Asian Games 2018 Jakarta-Palembang, defeated host cyclist, Sitthicok Kaewsrikhao and Japanese cyclist, Taichi Ikegami, who finished on second and third place respectively. Indonesia BMX national team coach, Dadang Haries Purnomo, in Banyuwangi, Sunday (28/5) admitted the success was a proof of the results of training camp in France, as well as the experience gained in following the world championships in the Netherlands and Belgium. Dadang added that the result of Asian Championship in Thailand would become the motivation for Indonesia to face the Asian Games 2018 Jakarta-Palembang to be held on August 18. In Asian BMX 2018, Indonesia sent three male elite cyclists, namely Rio Akbar, I Gusti Bagus Saputra, and Tony Syarifudin. However, only Rio and Bagus could enter the final round in the championship.

On Tuesday (May 29, 2018) by using rockets and mortars, Hamas, a movement controlling the Gaza Strip, launched attack targeting in southern Israel. This large attack was the first since 4 years ago. Israel, which has recently committed acts of violence against Palestinian civilians, then launched a counterattack, at least 35 times, to several targets in Gaza. Israeli warplanes took part in the attack mission to the 7 locations of Hamas and Islamic Jihad, including ammunition warehouses.

Israel claimed no casualties on its side. Both Hamas and Israel have finally agreed to a ceasefire since Wednesday (May 30, 2018). Since the wave of Palestinian people's protests on late March, at least 120 Palestinians have been killed. The protesters called for Israel to return the occupied territory. Some of them were killed during a rally on the Gaza-Israel border, including 61 people two weeks ago. The rest were killed by Israeli air strikes.

The Israeli side claimed to simply defend the border and blame Hamas for pushing the protesters through the border. In addition to restricting the land area, Israel also conducted a blockade in the territorial waters off the coast of Gaza. This was done by installing a barrier to avoid infiltration from the Gaza Strip into the Israeli territory as happened in 2014. The Palestinians protested against the blockade. A ship carrying 20 people and several other small boats then left the fishing port of Gaza. There has been no response from the Israeli military regarding protests against the sea blockade.

The occurrence of mutual attack is certainly very unfortunate. Because Israel used sophisticated fighter jets, which were bigger than just rocket and mortar attacks. Hopefully, the ceasefire can last a long time. Both sides should refrain and prioritize negotiations. Indonesia, which supports the two-state solution, certainly wants Palestine as a real country to be established soon. Thus, one of the problems in the Middle East region can be ended.

To anticipate congestionat Cipali toll when the flow of homecoming and turning Lebaran 2018, especially in Subang regency, West Java, Transportation office of Subang regency is ready to impose traffic engineering. This was stated by head of transportation office of Subang regency, Rona Mairansyah, to Radio Republik Indonesia in Subang, on Monday (28/5). Morever, the prediction of the increase in the flow of travelers’ vehicles will occur since H min 5 of Idul Fitr, because it coincides with the start of a long school holiday, so that traffic engineering efforts can effectively anticipate traffic jams such as that occurred in the flow of homecoming and returning Lebaran in 2017.Meanwhile, traffic engineering was said by Rona,if the flow of vehicles that are diverted from the Cipali toll road through the Kalianggana Kalijati Toll Gate, vehicles can be transferred to Pantura through Purwadadi-Sukamandi-Ciasem, can also be transferred to Cikamurang, through Kalijati-Subang city, while the flow of travellers’ vehicles which are diverted through Cilameri toll gate, are also diverted to Pantura, through Pagaden-Binong-Pamanukan, if to Cikamurang are diverted through Subang-Kota-Cikamurang.

Cilacap becomes the only one regency/city in Indonesia which is selected to participate in assessment of the Tangguh City in the Asia Pacific Region. For that, United Office for Disaster Risk Reduction  for Disaster Risk Reductionon the recommendation of the National Disaster Management Agencyto hold the assessment on Monday (28/5). Delegation of the United Office to conduct audiency with vice regent, Syamsul Auliya Rahman, on Monday (28/5). There are important things discussed in the audiency. The delegation will give support substantially and technically, supported by the Government of Cilacap regency, to implement Cilacap as the City of Strong Disaster. Besides that, the benefit can be gained by the region is the opportunity to bring donor agencies and investors to the development of Cilacap tothe City of Strong Disaster. Syamsul Auliya Rahman welcomed the delegation who selected Cilacap as Indonesian representative. According to Syamsul, the assessmentis in line with Cilacap regent’s idea,  Tatto Suwarto Pamuji, to make Cilacap to be Singapore of Java which needs to be anticipated by all parties.

Skouw hamlet is located at the border of Indonesia-Papua New Guinea, precisely at Muara Tami district, Jayapura city, Papua, Indonesia. Muara Tami district consists of 3 hamlets, namely Skouw Yambe, Skouw Sae, and Skouw Mabo. From Jayapura city, the distance is around 46 kilometers or it takes around 1 and a half hour until 2 hours by car. Skouw hamlet is hot and dry. Thus, many people choose to move to Jayapura city. But, Skouw hamlet scenery has changed to be beautiful. The post of state’s border is more luxurious and the border’s gateway becomes favorite location of native people or tourists who visit the place. Besides selfie at the border’s post and gateway, there is another activity which can be conducted at Skouw hamlet. At Skouw Yambe hamlet, you can see turtle’s conservation. Since the mid 2017, the government of Jayapura city has made Skouw Yambe hamlet to be turtle’s tourism object. In additional to preventing the turtle’s extinction, it is also to increase local economy. Today, tourists who visit can see and cultivate the turtle beginning from catching process, spawning, hatching until releasing to the ocean.
