Padar Island is the third largest island in the Komodo National Park area, after Komodo and Rinca Island. The island is relatively closer to Rinca Island than to Komodo Island, which is separated by the Lintah Strait.

Padar Island is not inhabited by Komodo. However, it is accepted as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, because it is within the Komodo National Park area, along with Komodo Island, Rinca Island and Gili Motang.

The island's topography is rugged with volcanic mountains in the sea and hills facing a deep sea bay. Padar Island has a dry climate with grassland bushes and trees covering the island, creating beautiful savanna hill.

Padar Island Labuan Bajo has four deep bays and beach sand in various colors, mostly white sand beaches. In addition, there is a sand beach which has gray and pink sand.

When you visit Padar Island, you can take part in hiking activities to the top of the hill. From the top of the hill, you can see the whole view of Padar Island.

If you want to visit Padar Island, from Denpasar, Bali, you can go by plane to Labuan Bajo for 30 minutes. Then, you continue the journey to Loh Liang dock, Komodo Island, and then use a speed boat to Padar Island. Padar Island tourism area opens 24 hours a day. Therefore, you can visit this tourism spot at any time.

To enter Padar Island, tourists only need to pay an entrance ticket to Komodo Island of Rp150,000. This fee does not include snorkeling, trekking or diving activities.

When traveling to Riau province, I suggest you to taste its special culinaries. One of them is “Asam Pedas Ikan Baung”. Spicy acid taste becomes one of the characteristics of dishes in Sumatra island. For example in Minangkabau, there is a typical dish called Asam Padeh. While in Aceh, there is Asam Keueng. “Asam Pedas Ikan Baung” is a culinary of Riau province which strongly influence by Malay culinary taste. This culinary is a mandatory dish in almost every houses and it is also served at many local traditional events such as wedding ceremonies, Eid el-Fitr, and circumcision.

From the look Asam Pedas Ikan Baung culinary has a reddish orange color with an appetizing aroma. The reddish orange color comes from turmeric. Asam Pedas Ikan Baung also uses other ingredients such as chilies, ginger, galangal, lemongrass, shallots and garlic. The sour taste comes from kandis tamarind or java tamarind water. While the main ingredient is Baung fish. Baung fish with the Latin name Mystus Nemurus, is the same species to catfish. This freshwater fish can be found on rivers, swamp, lake and reservoir. Baung fish that has white flesh with soft and dense texture without fine spines, makes the fish mostly liked by people.

The spicy, sour, savory, and fresh flavors are mixed in Asam Pedas Ikan Baung. This culinary is very delicious when it is  eaten with hot rice. For those who are interested to enjoying it, this culinary is easy to find in Riau. Many restaurants sell Asam Pedas Ikan Baung with Rp. 100,000 per portion.

The dilemma that is often faced by tourists is to choose the perfect tourism destination for vacation. The choice is between mountains and beaches, but are there any tourism destinations that cover both? Yes, there are. On Lombok Island, there is a destination, called Mount Tunak Natural Tourism Park. This place is a complete package for both mountain and beach lovers. The location is located in Mertak Village, Pujut District, Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. Mount Tunak Natural Park is 1,200 hectares promontory jutting directly into the Indian Ocean which has hilly plains and cliff islands around it. The promontory is flanked by Bumbang bay in the West-North and Awang bay in the East. At the first glance, Mount Tunak is similar to the Twelve Apostles in Victoria, Australia. Although there are not 12 cliff islands in this area, this destination still has extraordinary beauty.

nter Mount Tunak tourism area, you will go through a number of protected forest areas which are inhabited by endangered species such as foot-birds, Timor deer and many types of butterflies in the captive park. After passing through the forest area, you will find a hidden beach. Its name is Bilayasak Beach, which is a virgin beach with white sand directly facing the Indian Ocean. The sea water is dark blue which looks very beautiful when the sky is clear with thin clouds above it. This beach is also surrounded by circular limestone cliffs, from a distance it looks golden. On top of the cliff, there are green hills that can be climbed, and from above, you can see the natural panorama of Mount Tunak which has cliff islands lined up in the ocean. Every now and then, the big waves swept the cliffs, giving rise to the distinctive sound of the ocean. At Mount Tunak area, there is also a 20-meter high lighthouse. From the top of the lighthouse, you can see the entire area of Mount Tunak which stretches without any obstructions.  The blue sea, cliffs, beaches, hills and sky, all these sights make anyone amazed by their beauty. Moreover, this tourism park is a quiet area and not many tourists know about it, so that anyone who comes will feel spoiled like being on a private island.


The location of Mount Tunak is about 85 kilometers from Mataram City and takes about 2.5 hours by motor vehicles. The road condition is not extreme and has used asphalt to access these tourism sites. However, there is no public transportation yet. You can rent a car or preferably use a travel service from Mataram City with a price range of IDR 300,000. Mount Tunak opens every day from 07.00-16.00 local time. The ticket price is Rp 5,000 for local tourists, and Rp 10,000 for foreign tourists. The facilities in this tour are very minimal because it is still under construction. There is only a parking area, protected forest and butterfly breeding. There are no traders, food courts or souvenir centers around the location.

Lokale Cave is located at Woslimo village, Baliem Valley, Jayawijaya Regency in Papua. This cave was first opened in 1992. It is believed to be the longest cave in the world, because until now, the end of this cave has not been found.

The farthest journey in this cave is only 3 kilometers. Because of the length of this cave, many academics estimate that Lokale Cave can penetrate into the Jayapura area. In 1992, Lokale Cave was opened by the local government as a tourism spot and nature reservation.

The cave is formed from limestone rocks.Around Lokale cave, there is a pine forest. To enter the Lokale cave, you have to pass a narrow slit, and there is a stairway to enter the cave.

Although the end of this cave is not known, it is not a scary place. You will easily get a pleasant impression when you enter this cave. One thing that makes this cave fun is that there are several points on the cave wall with hollow space and melodious sound when knocked.

If you knock gently, you will hear a sound. The sound is in regular tone and able to form a unique musical composition. Inside the cave, it is very dark. When entering this cave, you are highly recommended to bring a flashlight.

Lokale cave is about 25 kilometers from Wamena City. Access to this cave is quite easy because the asphalt road is quite good and it can be accessed by motor vehicles.

Lokale Cave is located on the edge of the regency's main road. So, you do not need to walk far or climb to get there. Its strategic location makes this cave a good family tourism spot and is often visited by a lot of tourists in various groups.

At a session of the Ministry of Education and Culture on October 6 to 9, three cultural heritages of Denpasar, Bali were designated as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Indonesia 2020. Head of Culture Office, Denpasar, IGN Bagus Mataram said the three cultural works are Nanda tradition, Genggong art, and Gambuh Pedungan art. Today’s edition of Indonesian Wonder  will introduce you to one of the three cultural heritages of Depansar city, namely Genggong Art.

Genggong is a traditional music art in Banjar Pegok Sesetan, Denpasar. This art has existed since the 1930s, played by I Ketut Regen (Pekak Danjur). To play Genggong music, it has a distinctive technique by attaching to the mouth while vibrating through the pulling of the rope or ngedet and using the throat resonance method to produce the tone.Genggong was originally made of dried palm leaf midrib or nguyung, which was formed with 18 to 20 centimeters long and 1.5 to 2 centimeters wide. Due it is difficult to get palm leaf midrib, Genggong is also produced by using bamboo material.

Genggong art at Banjar Pegok Sesetan was previously played to entertain people themselves during rest time when they finish their activities in the fields, because the local people are mostly farmers. Besides that it is also a place to socialize, and get together. Now the function of Genggong is slightly shifted. This traditional art is now often played as a dance accompaniment with other musical instruments as well as a media for community entertainment.

Bosnik Beach is another proof of the beauty of Papua land. This beach has exotic views that can be enjoyed at any time. Segara Indah Beach or better known as Bosnik Beach is located in Woniki Village, East Biak, Numfor regency, Papua province.

In front of the beach, there are small islands; you can see many small boats passing from the market. This beach is always crowded with local and foreign tourists. This is because Bosnik Beach has a very beautiful nature.

At Bosnik Beach, tourists will be spoiled with white sand and clear sea water and beautiful coral reefs. They can also swim or snorkel on this beach. However, everybody has to be careful if they want to snorkel at Bosnik Beach because the beach has a strong current.

If the tourists want to enjoy the freshness and beauty of the view of Bosnik Beach, they can rent huts which are mostly built on the beach with the tariff Rp 50,000.

There is no time limit for the rental of this hut; the visitors can enjoy the view from this hut as much as they like while enjoying the freshness of the young coconut which is sold by the owner of the hut.

This beach can be accessed easily by a motorbike taxi which costs around Rp. 20,000 - 30,000 for one way or you can rent a car that can carry 5 passengers at a rate of Rp. 350,000 / day for one car. To enter this very beautiful beach, you only pay an entrance ticket of 10 thousand rupiah per person.

Bosnik Beach is a mainstay tourism spot for Biak residents as a tourism attraction every weekend due to the location of the beach which is not so far from the city and the transportation to the beach is also easy. Visitors from outside Biak will also have no trouble finding lodging because lodging in Biak is available.

Bubur Jamu Coro is the typical cuisine of  Demak regency, Central Java province.  It consists of two types of culinary namely porridge and Jamu Coro.  Porridge is made from rice flour and Jamu Coro is made from coconut milk, brown sugar, fine salt, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, galangal and pandan leaves. The coconut milk is boiled with pandan leaves and it is stirred until it boils. Then, we must put all other ingredients  into the coconut milk stew until it smells good. This culinary can be enjoyed directly or separately.

Bubur Jamu Coro will be tasteful  if  it is served with coconut milk, kinca or boiled water of brown sugar and powdered pepper. The taste makes us appetized. The Bubur Coro, which contains flour and Jamu Coro, can also be sold and enjoyed separately.  You can only buy Bubur “ porridge” with a variety of kinca and coconut milk, or just Jamu Coro with pepper.  Of course, you will immediately taste the spicy pepper.  Jamu Coro is believed to treat flatulence and colds, and the stomach feels warm.

People usually buy Bubur Jamu Coro for body fitness.  Usually after consuming Bubur Jamu Coro, the  body feels immediately fresh. Bubur  Jamu Coro  is usually enjoyed as breakfast or enjoyed in the afternoon.  This dish is very delicious when eaten warm. The traders usually sell the culinary by using bicycles. They go around the village to sell Bubur Jamu Coro. The price is relatively cheap, Rp. 5000 to Rp. 10,000 per portion.

Bajuin Waterfall is located in Sungai Bakar Village, Pelaihari District about 10 kilometers from Tanah Laut Regency or 75 kilometers from Banjarmasin, the provincial capital of South Kalimantan. During the trip to the natural tourist area of Bajuin, you will be presented with a beautiful natural panorama in the form of green hills and expanses of rice fields around the hills. Arriving at this tourism area, you have to pass through the gate. From the gate the journey continues by foot, climbing through the stairs, which takes about 40 minutes to the waterfall. However, if you cannot climb the path to the waterfall, you can enjoy lake panorama of Telaga Alam. You can take a bathe or just take pictures in this lake. 

Bajuin has the charm of a beautiful waterfall and the air is very cool and fresh, because many trees grow around this area. In this location there are actually four waterfalls with different heights. The nearest waterfall has 25 meters high, the second waterfall is about 17 meters high, the third waterfall is about 37 meters high, and the fourth waterfall is about 18 meters high. In these four waterfalls you can take a bathe and take fun photos. Because this waterfall is located in the Meratus Forest, you can also do natural ecotourism activities, such as trekking, climbing, and hiking.

After enjoying the coolness and freshness of Bajuin Waterfall, you don't have to go home immediately, you also can visit to Marble Cave near the Waterfall site. This cave has its own uniqueness, which is on the walls of the cave there are many marble stones that are used for home tiles. The shape of the cave is unique, like a mosque dome.

Morotai is an island and a district in the Halmahera Islands, Maluku. For some people, Morotai is known as a rich island with heritages of the Pacific war and General Douglas McArthur’s history. In addition, Moratai also has another beautiful nature, namely Tanjung Gorango or Gorango Cape. In the natural object you can enjoy white sand, blue sea, and untouched panoramas around the beach. Tanjung Gorango is located 90 kilometers from Daruba, the capital city of Morotai Island Regency. It takes three hours to drive on a four-wheeled vehicle and two hours by motorbike. To enter Gorango Cape, you are charged an entrance ticket fee of Rp. 5,000 per person.

In the local language, Gorango means shark. So, Tanjung Gorango means Cape of Sharks. But you don’t have to worry, there have never incidents of sharks preying on people on the site. Once arriving at Gorango Cape, you will see a beach in the form of a bay surrounded by lush land on the left and right sides. The waves can be calm, sometimes can be more big. The calm wave season during April to September, so, that time are safe for the visitors to swim.

Besides swimming, you can also surf at Gorango or relax on the soft sand beaches and just going along the shoreline by foot. When walking along the coastline, you will find a large pile of rocks. Passing through the rock, and many flat areas, you will come to a lagoon with clear and turquoise sea water. You can feel the freshness of the lagoon water by swimming. For those who want to take a rest, the beach offers several huts for resting places. Unfortunately there is no restaurant on the location, so you have to bring your own drinks and foods for lunch.

Limbong Sitodo River is a natural bathing location that uses the flow of river water as its source. The location is about eight kilometers from Polewali, the capital of Polewali Mandar, West Sulawesi. The water of Sitodo Limbong River is so clear and cool because it comes from the mountain springs. Along the flow of the river lie rocks and trees that add to the beauty of this tourism destination. Visitors can soak and see a beautiful natural landscape.

In the upstream, there is a waterfall called ‘Indo Rannuang’. Access to the waterfall is not easy. Visitors must climb as far as 4 kilometers to arrive at Indo Rannuang. However, along the way, visitors can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Polewali City and Mandar Bay from a distance.

Besides soaking in the fresh Limbong Sitodo River and having adventure to Indo Rannuang Waterfall, visitors can also visit the Mandar Traditional Village on a hill about 5 kilometers from the Limbong Sitodo River. In the village, they can witness how the indigenous peoples still keep preserving their culture, art, and traditions. 

The access to this village can be reached by car or motorcycle. However, it’s closer to the village, the road is narrower. So, it will be better to go to the village on foot. If the visitors arrive at the village, they will be greeted with the traditional houses of Mandar Village in the form of houses on stilts. This village is rich with cacao trees, fruits, and vegetables. Indeed, gardening is the main livelihood in this village
