The Indonesian Embassy in Beirut has acknowledged its continued support for trade cooperation improvement between Indonesia and Lebanon. Indonesian Ambassador to Lebanon Hajriyanto Y Thohari gave the Primaduta Award to Lebanese businessman and importer, George R Fattouh. The award was given for his service in helping market Indonesian products in Paris from the Middle East. The award was given at a ceremony at the Indonesian Embassy in Beirut, Thursday (11/1)  Fatough, is the owner of George R. Fattouh S.A.L, a business that has been importing Indonesian products since the 1980s. It has a range of products, including: palm oil and its derivatives, oil and fats (including cocoa butter substitute, fat spread, hydrogenated palm kernel oil, and lauric confectionery fats), cardboard, stationary, and school equipment. Some Indonesian products are now even available at famous retail networks, such as Spinney’s and Carrefour. In 2022, the value imported by George R. Fattough S.A.L of Indonesian products, was 981.3 million USD. This was a 149.5 million USD increase when compared to 2021. Fattouh said Indonesian products are known for their quality and are in high demand in Lebanese markets. However, he said, the challenge now is increasing freight costs due to security challenges in the region.

Listeners, a number of delicious dishes were served to the guests of Dhaup Ageng Pura Pakualaman Yogyakarta, at the wedding reception of the youngest son of K.G.P.A.A. Paku Alam X, namely B.P.H. Kusumo Kuntonugroho with Laily Annisa Kusumastuti which was held on January 10, 2024.Head of the Customs and Accommodation Division, Dhaup Ageng Pura Pakualaman, KRT Radyo Wisroyo said that the menu served to guests was quite varied. These menus are typical menus prepared by Pakualaman Pura, Indonesian menus and western food menus were also available. All invited guests including VIP and VVIP guests got the same menu. The first menu served to welcome guests, namely two types of welcome drink, namely lime lemongrass and ginger drink with lime. The welcome drink was given when guests sat down and watched the Bedhaya Sidamukti and Bedhaya Kakung Indrawidagda dance performances. Next, they gotsnacks for appetizer such as croquettes and other light snacks. There is a snack that is considered quite special and rare called Garulina. Garulina was the opening snack at the Pahargyan Dhaup Ageng Pakualaman lunch on the first day. Garulina has been around since the era before Indonesian independence. Garulina is actually not a typical Central Javanese food. It looks like the Lapis Legit layered cake, but there is something different, because there is a special layer like vla which is made from fresh milk, eggs and sugar. To get this sweet snack, Pakulaman Temple has to place a special order from the third generation of makers who have been pioneering since the 1950s. In Jogja, Garulina is very difficult to find and is considered rare because it is not sold every day.

The Center for the Conservation of Natural Resources -BBKSDA of Papua invites residents and various parties to care for endemic animals in eastern Indonesia. Head of BBKSDA Papua, Timbul Batubara said in Jayapura, on Saturday that his side has just received the result of the operated animals recently from the Law Enforcement Center for Environment and Forestry Section in Jayapura. He said that 38 birds have been received and will be treated in transit cage. He urged the related stakeholders to be more concerned and aware that Papuan endemic animals are becoming increasingly scarce. Timbul Batubara also stated that the habitat destruction and poaching are the main causes of declining populations in the wild. The same thing was also expressed by Technical Head of BBKSDA for Papua, Askhari Masikki. He said if we care, we have to be actively involved to take care of it. After all, they are more beautiful when living freely in the wild. Askhari added that now, BBKSDA for Papua also has already a call center with the number 0823-9802-99-78 that can be contacted at any time.

The 10th Banyumas Serayu Festival 2018 becomes an event to promote the potential of marine tourism, especially in the Serayu River, Banyumas Regency. Head of Serayu Tourism Society –PMPS, Eddy Wahono in Purwokerto, Banyumas Regency, said that the event to be held on August 11-12 is the idea of Balai Besar Serayu River Region Opak -BBWSO and PMPS to promote Serayu River exoticism. Eddy also said that the idea is based on the background of changing people's livelihood from sand mining activities in Serayu Riverto be become tourist actors in the river. After running four times, the festival is included in the tourism agenda of Youth, Sports, Culture and Tourism Office of Banyumas Regency. Head of the 10th Banyumas Serayu Festival 2018 Committee, Imam Basroil said that in this event, his side carries the theme "Knitting the Edge of Serayu" which contains the meaning of utilization and the management of marine resources by involving many parties, namely related institutions, communities, and tourism actors. On a separate occasion, Head of Tourism Department of Youth, Sports, Culture, and Tourism, Banyumas Saptono admitted that previously, the Banyumas Serayu Festival 2018 was scheduled for July 28-29. However, the implementation is changed to 11-12 August 2018 due to technical constraints, such as the construction of a railway bridge over the Serayu River which has been for the route of ornamental boat carnival.

At Car Free Day of Banda Aceh City on Jl. Daud Beureueh, Banda Aceh Mayor, Aminullah Usman along with Natural Resource Conservation Center -BKSDA of Aceh and Tiger Heart Community held Global Tiger Day commemoration 2018 on Sunday (29/7). The commemoration with the theme "Local Wisdom for Sumatran Tiger Conservation" was attended by hundreds of visitors of Car Free Day. Various actions were held in the commemoration, such as Face Painting, Sumatran Tiger Preservation Oration, Coloring competition, Lion Dance Performance, Photo Exhibition, and Bazaar. In his speech, Mayor, Aminullah pointed out that it’s important to conserve the endangered Sumatran tigers. The Sumatran tigers (Panthera tigris sumatrae) are the sub-species of tiger from three sub-tigers owned by Indonesia besides Javanese tiger and Balinese tiger, which has been declared extinct. Sumatran tigers are now very endangered due to their  increasingly narrow habitat.

Trade Ministry facilitated a meeting between Indonesia and the United States businesspeople in Business Forum and one-on-one business matching at  Indonesian embassy of Washington DC, the United States of America on Tuesday (24/7). The event was part of trade mission of Trade Minister, Enggartiasto Lukita to protect balance of trade relations with the United States which is one of Indonesia’s main export markets. When giving speech in the forum, Minister Enggartiasto said that the forum is important to protect and strengthen trade relations of the two countries, which bring about mutual benefit.

Director of Law and Economic Agreement of Foreign Affairs Ministry, L. Amrih Jinangkung became one of keynote speakers in “Socialization Seminar of Marrakesh Treaty" which was held in Jakarta on Sunday (26/7). The Ministry supports and will facilitate the plan of legalization of Marrakesh Treat through ratification. The government of Indonesia signed the treaty in 2013. Marrakesh Treaty arranges the disability access in getting access of information, product of copyright and arrangement on exchange among the countries on format which is accessible for people with barriers to reading printed materials. National stakeholders attended the seminar, such as staffs of Law and Human Rights Ministry, representatives of disabilities and the community of national colleges.

Trade Minister, Enggartiasto Lukita held a meeting with United States Trade Representative, Ambassador Robert E. Lighthizer in Washington DC to discuss efforts of the increasing of trade and decreasing of trade barriers of the two countries. The meeting became the peak agenda in the work visit of the Trade Minister, Enggartiasto Lukita to the United States of America on July 23-27, 2018. The visit was aimed at reciprocally enhancing Indonesia-the United States trade relations to achieve benefits of both countries. Minister Enggartiasto also explained to Ambassador Lighthizer the issues related to the trade barriers which become Indonesian attention. Those issues are reconsideration proses on Indonesia as receiving country of Generalized System of Preferences –GSP scheme and exception for Indonesia on the imposition of tariff increases on the US steel and aluminum product imports.

Children Day  is an event which is held on different dates in various countries around the world. International Children Day is commemorated every June 1st and Universal Children Day is commemorated every November 20th. The other countries commemorate the Children Day on other dates. This commemoration is aimed to esteem the children’s rights around the world. The National Children Day in Indonesia is commemorated every July 23rd according to Presidential Decree of Indonesia No.  44/1984 on the date of July 19th 1984. In celebrating Children Day 2018, provincial government of West Sumatra has a creative way to campaign a habit of eating fish from early age. The regional government serves 50 thousands of Sala Lauak to thousands students of early childhood education (PAUD). The advantage of eating fish is helpful not only for the health but also the children’s development and intelligence as the next generation of the nation in the future. According to Governor of West Sumatra, Irwan Prayitno, the 50 thousands of Sala Lauak supply does not only to set the record in Indonesian World-Record Museum but also to promote the children with early age to love eating fish. Head of Department of Marine and Fisheries of West Sumatra, Yosmeri explains that Sala Lauak can be made of sea fish and various kinds of fish. He hopes that the promotion of eating fish through Sala Lauak culinary can boost the level of fish consumption in West Sumatra which is still 34.3 kilograms (kg) per capita for this year. Meanwhile, Head of Association of Education and Education Staff of Early Age Children of Indonesia (Himpaudi) of  West Sumatra, Nevi Zuairina says that the campaign has to target the early-age children. Becauce 50% of development of children’s brain occurs in their early age.

Indonesian Embassy in the  United Kingdom represented by attaché of Education and Culture, Aminudin Aziz  gave Angklung as Indonesian traditional musical instrument to  Havering Music School –HMS in eastern City of London on Monday  (23/7). It was received by Director Music of HMS, Paul Harris and accompanied by 2 members of parliament of  Havering city as well as students and their parents. After submitting the traditional musical instrument from Tatar Pasundan West Java, Indonesia recorded as cultural heritage of UNESCO, Havering Music School agreed to officially  make Angklung as part of curriculum besides Gamelan which has been a lesson before. Today, there are two schools as the center of learning of the Angklung: Havering Music School in eastern London and Whitefield School in Northern London. Indonesian embassy hoped that by granting the Angklung,  program and lesson in several educational institutions in the UK will introduce Indonesian traditional musical instrument and will become facility to strengthen  people-to-people contact of both countries.

Musical group of Angklung Mang Udjo from Bandung, Indonesia arrived in  Stockholm on Wednesday (25/7). The entourage will enliven the program in Kungsträdgården on Saturday  (28/7).  Besides Saung Mang Udjo, Sanggar Komite Seni Budaya Nusantara and   administration government  of  Boyolali Regency, East Java will also appear. In the hub of  Stockholm, the annual program will perform the previous program at the same place. Chairman of entourage of Mang Udjo, Taufik Hidayat expressed his pride as Indonesian while playing local songs at the international  stage. Saung Angklung Udjo has succeeded to promote Angklung to international world. For interactive program, the group brings additional Angklung so that after the performance, Angklung can be given to audiences as souvenirs .Moreover, Boyolali regency sent 27 dancers. The program is aimed to promote Indonesia in achieving higher target.

Indonesian General Consulate  in Ho Chi Minh City brought 3 Indonesian cosmetic producers to participate in Viet-Beauty 2018 in Ho Chi Minh City from 19 until 21 July to expand business through readiness for distributors and become service provider of original equipment manufacturer. Viet-Beauty 2018 was comprehensive promotion  platform, including cosmetic product, perfume, skin care, hair and nail as well as spa and beauty. There were also seminar discussing regulation, and marketing via social media, consumer trend and skin care as well as  marketing information in Vietnam. Moreover, other  activities  focused on introducing some products and new esthetic technic. The total value of the cosmetic import product and perfume to Vietnam in 2017  reached $680,42 million dollars  or grew 11 percent compared with in 2016. Meanwhile, the same product import in the first five months in 2018 grew 27,5percent from year to year to be  $243,347 million dollars . Today, 90 percent of Vietnam’s cosmetic market is controlled by some countries such as South Korea, European countries, Japan, Thailand and the USA.

The school zoning system has made school which is not a favorite becomes the main choice. In the new school academic year, the number of students almost evenly packed every school, either at suburbs or at the city. Member of the House of Representatives of Palangkaraya, Commission C, Mukarramah, welcomed the school zoning system. According toMukarramah, during this time, students are not interested in registering their names at school which is not a favorite yet. With the school zoning, the parents of the students send their children to school which is closer in accordance with radius which has been determined by Education Office. This was stated by Mukarramah to Radio Republik Indonesia in Palangkaraya, on Tuesday (24/7). In addition to motivating school at suburbs to be favorite school, school zoning policy has good impact for the next future, one of them is for equalization of educational quality, because every school will compete to show its superiority, so that among the schools can compete for better world of education.

 

A member of the House of Representatives of West Nusa Tenggara, Tuan Guru Haji Hazmi Hamzar, hoped West Nusa Tenggara continues to improve the increase of tourist’s visit. The high interest of either domestic and foreign tourist to travel to the region should be supported by various easiness and worthy at the tourist destination. Tuan Guru Haji Hazmi Hamzar in Mataram, on Tuesday (24/7) also hoped businessman along with the government are not quickly satisfied with the result, and do it in accordance with the ability. Because the challenge for the tourism sector in the future is increasingly complex.  According to Hazmi Hamzar, the existence of one organization will make tourist to be easy to get information and the others related to tourist objects of West Nusa Tenggara. He added management of tourist destinationalso needs serious attention from the government or tourist businessman. The cleaness and the existence of toilet at tourist destination is very important.

 

Sumbawa regent, Husni Djibril, said that literacy movement at the school currently is being conducted by the government in various educational levels, including elementary school. According to Husni Djibril, elementary school is the beginning of nine years of basic education, so that growing movement of reading interest is very strategic to be conducted. However, before entering to elementary school, there are children who have been quite familiar with book during the Early Childhood Education period.Husni Djibril in Sumbawa,on Tuesday (24/7) hoped optimalization of literacy movements on elementary school level is supported and optimalized. That is why in 2017, the government issued regency regulation number 5/2017 on instructions for implementing literacy movements in elementary schools.The regent also hoped, the existence of the regency regulation becomes astarting point to establish reading interest since early for each student in Sumbawa.Reading habit at the elementary school will become foundation on student. The regent also hoped “the echo of literacy programcan be a media which can encourage the elementary school studentsto develop and to forge their abilitieswell. For that, the regent conveyed his appreciation to “Sayangi Tunas Cilik” foundationas the partner for save the children which has implemented the program at 25 elementary schools in Sumbawa and 25 elementary schools in North Lombok regency.

Indonesian Minister of Trade, Enggartiasto Lukita led Indonesian delegation in a working visit and trade mission to Washington DC, the United States of America on Sunday (22/7). The delegation was to meet the US government and businesspeople. They discussed the increase of trade relations and opportunity of trade cooperation which is more closely. Minister Enggartiasto explained that the USA is Indonesia’s  main trade partner to protect and to strengthen trade relations of the two countries which has advantage each other.  Minister Enggartiasto also met with US Trade Minister  and Ambassador of United States Trade Representative (USTR). The discussed issues were the review of the US government’s policy on Generalized System of Preference (GSP) for Indonesia, policy of the increase of entrance tax of steel and  aluminum  products to the USA as well as some issues of US access market in Indonesia. In addition to holding the meeting with the US government, Minister Enggartiasto along with the officials of the US government are scheduled to attend business forum and  one-on-one business matching among Indonesian and US entrepreneurs on Tuesday (24/7). Those entrepreneurs will explore various opportunities of cooperation in Washington DC.

The 18th International Student Scientific of IndonesiaConvention (ISIC 2018) was held at University of Coventry, England on Saturday (21/7). The convention was held at Albany Theatre, University of Coventry and opened by Indonesian Ambassador Dr. Rizal Sukma. The conference had a theme, “To integrate and to empower young generation through unity in diversity for development of Indonesian future”. Education and Cultural Attaché at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in London, Prof. E. Aminudin Aziz recognized that the event is important to enhance people’s awareness to open opportunities which will be established while studying abroad. 

Four Indonesia’s participants gained 4 silver medals in the 29th International Biology Olympiad (IBO) in Iran International Convention Centre Tehran on Saturday evening (21/7). Indonesian Ambassador to Iran, Octavino Alimuddin on the sidelines of the closing of the event, sated expressed his pride on the achievement. Indonesia sent 4 participants and 5 officials. Each participant succeeded to gain silver medals in the 29th  IBO, starting from July 15-22, 2018 in Tehran and participated in by 265 participants from 78 countries. The closing of the event was attended by vice president of knowledge and technology of Iran, Dr. Sorena Sattari; Minister of Education of Iran, Seyyed Mohammad Bat’hei; Chairman of IBO, Poonpipope Kasemsap; high officials of Iran, academics, scientists, media and delegation of the participating countries, including Indonesia. The 29th IBO is a competition event for high school students under 20-year. Next year, the 30th IBO will be conducted in Szeged, Hungary.

We start from an event on July 21, 1945, the cease-fire agreement between France and Vietnam was signed.

The agreement was signed at the end of the Geneva conference which was also attended by representatives from the United States of America, Britain, China and the Soviet Union. The agreement followed the defeat of France in Vietnam thanks to the ardent resistance of the Vietnamese army in the battle of Dien Bien Phu. However, under US pressure, in the agreement, the representatives agreed the division of Vietnam and ordered all foreign troops to leave Vietnam.Contrary to the content of the agreement, the United States sent troops to Vietnam and supported the establishment of the South Vietnamese state.As a result, war broke out between the North Vietnamese army and the South Vietnamese army. The war ended in 1975 with the defeat of North Vietnam and the United States. Finally, Vietnam re-united in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

 

Moving to the event on July 21, 1952, a massive demonstration of the Iranian people protesting against Iran's new Prime Minister, Qawamus-Salthanah.

A massive demonstration of the Iranian people protesting against Iran's new Prime Minister, Qawamus-Salthanah took place, following the resignation of Prime Minister Musadeq over the pressure of the Shah regime. Musadeq’s position was replaced by Qawamus-Salthanah as an extension of Shah Pahlevi's and foreign powers. The new Prime Minister, Qawamus-Salthanahimmediately issued policies contrary to Islam.One of Iran's great clerics, Ayatullah Kashani issued a protest statement against the new Prime Minister, Qawamus-Salthanahand the Iranian people welcomed Ayatullah Kashani with massive demonstrations insome cities.Although initially the Shah regime faced this demonstration by force, eventually, they surrendered and Musadeq wasre-appointed as prime minister.

The Gemini 10 shuttle manned by John W. Young and Michael Collins, after flying for 70 hours in space, eventually landed back onearth.The Gemini project is a US space program launched since 1962 and consists of 12 flights.The purpose of the Gemini project is to test human endurance in a space flight within two weeks, and perfecting methods for entering the atmosphere and landing.The Gemini project is an introduction from the Apollo project.

Here are the Headlines of several national newspapers published today, July 19 2018.

We begin with Kompas entitled, "Haze Threatens Asian Games."

Land and forest fire haze began appearing and can threaten the Asian Games 2018 to be held in Palembang, South Sumatera on August 18 until September 2, 2018. Until Wednesday (18/7), a total of 300 hectare land in Pedamaran and East Pedamaran districts of Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, South Sumatera was blazing. Land and Forest Fires Task Force of South Sumatera tried to extinguish the fire from land and sky, with aid from private parties. Commander of the Task Force Col. (Inf) Iman Budiman said, the hotspots and thick haze had happened since long. Since early July, there were 74 hotspots, increasing from June with 52 hotspots. Iman Budiman, the haze must not disturb the Asian Games 2018.

Moving on to Republika entitled, "Asian Games 2018 Torch Relay Begins."

Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla witnessed the union of Asian Games 2018 fire at Prambanan Temple, Yogyakarta on Wednesday (18/7). The torch flame was brought from Dhyan Chand National Stadium, New Delhi, India and was united with the eternal flame of Mrapen from Grobogan, Central Java. The torch from India was held by Indonesian badminton legend Susy Susanti. Meanwhile, the Mrapen flame was brought by Indonesian tennis legend Yustijo Tarik. After united, the Asian Games 2018 torch was handed over to Vice President Jusuf Kalla. The handover was witnessed by Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Puan Maharani. With that, Jusuf Kalla said, the Asian Games 2018 torch relay began.

Then, Jusuf Kalla gave the torch to Christina Finarsih, Indonesian badminton athlete from Yogyakarta. In his speech, the VP said, the union of Asian Games 2018 torch flames from India and Indonesia showed the blazing spirit in welcoming the biggest sport multi-event in Asia. Since Thursday (19/7), the torch relay will begin. There are 18 provinces and 54 regencies/cities to be passed by the torch. VP Jusuf Kalla hoped, all Indonesian people fully support the Asian Games 2018, which is held for the second time in the country since 1962.

We end the Headlines with Bisnis Indonesia entitled, "Finance Minister's Power Grows Stronger."

Soon, the Indonesian government will have a new Non-Tax Revenue Law, where the authority of Finance Ministry as the State Budget manager will be greater. The amended Act no. 20, 1997 on non-tax revenue gave authority to finance minister to change tariff. While in current law, tariff change was proposed from technically-related institutions. Besides that, the non-tax revenue tariff change will be more flexible, because it will not be regulated in the Constitution or government regulation anymore. The tariff determination will be regulated in ministerial regulation. Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati on Wednesday (18/7) admitted, the non-tax revenue management will keep being improved. Especially, currently, the non-tax revenue construction will be the mainstay to cover state revenue due to shortfall in tax revenue and spiking energy subsidy. Minister Sri Mulyani said, the prospect of non-tax revenue will be supported mainly by the increasing prices of Indonesian Crude Price (ICP) and coal.

RRI World Service -Voice of Indonesia with Diplomatic Corner, a program which presents information about activities and progress of Indonesian diplomacy in the international world. 

 

The first information is from Kandal, Cambodia.

Governor of Kandal province, Mao Phiron received honorable visit of Indonesian Ambassador to Cambodia, Sudirman Haseng on Tuesday (17/7). On the occasion, Governor Mao Phiron said that Indonesia and Cambodia have very close relations since lone time ago. The Governor hoped that the cooperation especially between Kandal province and provinces in Indonesia. He also wants the best information and experience exchange on decentralization policy because Indonesia has applied the policy. Meanwhile, Ambassador Sudirman Haseng invited Governor Mao Phiron and his staff to attend Indonesian Trade and Tourism Promotion in Phnom Penh on September 28-30, 2018, and to participate in the Indonesian Trade Expo in Indonesia in October 2018. Gubernur Phiron welcomed the invitation and directly confirmed his attendance in the Trade and Tourism Promotion and also ensured that the event is the right moment and important to learn so that the mutually beneficial cooperation can be established, especially in agricultural, tourism and educational sectors, including student or youth exchange.   

 

The next information is from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

To increase the number of foreign students through promotion to candidate students of Vietnam, Gajah Mada University and Semarang State University participated in College Counseling Day 2018 in Ho Chi Minh City on July 14, 2018. The promotion was conducted by giving brochures to visitors along the street. They also explained international programs for degree and scholarship in Gajah Mada University and Semarang State University in the booth of visitors. On the occasion, Semarang State University was represented by Head of International Office of Semarang State University and Head of sub-Foreign Cooperation. Meanwhile, Gajah Mada University was represented by Coordinator of program for Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand, Office of International Affairs of Gajah Mada University. College Counseling Day 2018 was participated in by 80 educational institutions in Ho Chi Minh City and surrounding provinces, either state or private colleges and educational agent which markets education abroad. College Counseling Day is an annually event which is held by media Tuoi Tre cooperating with Polytechnic University. In the 16th implementation in 2018, College Counseling Day 2018 was also held in Hanoi on July 15, 2018.

Who would have thought if in Athena, Greece, we will find motorcycle with Indonesian police number. The police number B-3737 UNM which belongs to North Jakarta can be found in Athena, Greece. The rider is Stephen Langitan, Solo Rider Adventure Jakarta – London 30.000 km who has begun his trip since March 25, 2018 from Jakarta. His plan is that the trip will end in London when celebration of the independence of Indonesia on August 17, 2018. Langitan will participate in the ceremony of the Indonesia’s independence at the Indonesian Embassy in London. On June 26, 2018, Langitan has entered Greece through Turkey. Because of non-stop rain, Stephen Langitan arrived in Athena on June 29, 2018. In Athena, the odometer precisely showed number of 19,900 kilometers. On July 5, 2018,  Langitan left London through Rome.

After his motorcycle was placed at the motorcycle workshop in Athena to ensure the safety condition of his motor vehicle, Langitan’s trip carried brotherhood, peace and driving safety message mission. The trip is also one of the forms to introduce Indonesia to people in the countries passed by. The trip so-called the trip of “Bendera Merah Putih" is a form of support in conducting Indonesia’s promotion throughout the world. Thus during the trip,  Langitan tried to avoid the main road or toll road and preferred to choose country lanes to interact with people and to introduce Indonesia.

Mosaic of the Archipelago presents information: first, acting governor of Jambi releases apprentices to Japan and home company. The second information is that Banyuwangi prepares various attractions to enliven Asian Games torch parade. 276 domestic and foreign apprentices 2018 were released by Acting Governor of Jambi, Fachroerri Umar at Manpower and Transmigration Office in Jambi on Wednesday (18/7/2018). The program is hoped to be able to increase skill quality and competency for job seekers. This was stated by Acting Governor Fachroeri Umar in Jambi. In his speech, he expects the apprentices not only to pursue the target, but also to improve their competency. Therefore, it is expected to change the mental attitude of the apprentices and they are motivated to work harder. Furthermore, Acting Governor Fachroeri also said that the program becomes one of efforts to improve the skills of job seekers of Jambi province. At last, they can strengthen and encourage the acceleration of development of Jambi province –‘Jambi Complete 2021’. Meanwhile, Head of Manpower and Transmigration Office of Jambi, M. Fauzi mentioned that from 276 apprentices who were released, 220 people will do internship in Indonesia that spread at 19 big, medium and small companies. The rest will do internship in Japan.

Regional government of Banyuwangi prepares various attractions in welcoming Torch Relay Asian Games 2018, which will pass the region on July 22nd. Because Banyuwangi has the honor from the committee of Asian Games (Inasgoc) to become one of the regencies, which is visited by the Asian Games torch before crossing to Bali. Head of Sport section at the Youth and Sport Office of Banyuwangi, M Alfin Kurniawan explained in Banyuwabngi on Wednesday (18/7) that there are 4 stops of the Torch Relay Asian Games 2018. They are Paltuding Gunung Ijen, Tamansari Rest Area, Diponegoro Stadium and Shaba Swataga Blambangan Hall. The four stops have prepared cultural attractions, such as Gandrung dance, and Banyuwangi Etno Carnival. In addition, the stops will also enliven sport events and fun games. So, people can attend and enliven the coming of the Torch Relay Asian Games 2018. Banyuwangi government provided 10 people who have the honor to bring the torch, namely former athlete from Banyuwangi who glorified Indonesian image in international event, such as the best female warrior, Ary Noviyanti, and coach of national team of BMX Indonesia, Dadang Haris Purnomo, as well as professional photographer with disability, Ahmad Zoelkarnain who is ready to bring the Asian Games torch, before being putting at Banyuwangi Hall.

State Attorney of Cilacap held blood donor at Blood Transfusion Unit of Indonesian Red Cross of Cilacap on Wednesday (18/7). This becomes series events of the 58th Adhyaksa Day at State Attorney of Cilacap on July 22, 2018. Head of State Attorney of Cilacap, Bardiaman Simalango remarked that the social dedication of the donor is serious concern of State Attorney’s employees to others. Bardiaman targeted as many as 30 blood bags to be collected at the event. Social dedication continues on Thursday  (19/7) by visiting “Dewanata”, the Elderly Social Care Center at Slarang village, Kesugihan district, Cilacap. Besides, at the internal of State Attorney of Cilacap, various sport events were also held to enliven the 58th Adhyaksa Day. The peak of commemoration of the Day will be conducted on July 23, 2018 by carrying out ceremony at the State Attorney Office’s yard and pilgrimage to Hero cemetery. Bardiaman hopes that his office receives more support from community and is able to conduct the social duties to the community throughout Indonesia.
